Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

LOOK AT DA LIL' WIGGLEBUTT, HIS TAIL IS WAGGING HE LIKES YOU!

AWW POOR BABY HE JUST WANTS TO GET OUT OF THAT LEASE TO SAY HELLO!
The comments on the latter video, just... it seems nothing will get these shitbull fans to wake up to reality.

Now, if every state passed legislation that made the owners criminally and civilly liable for any property damage, loss of life, or injuries sustained by another person caused by their dog...maybe couple that with smaller municipalities enacting breed specific legislation (read: banning pitbulls and all their offshoots), and other less visible incentives like home/life/health insurance costing more for someone that owns a pitbull/pitbull offshoot breed...

I sincerely believe that with these measures, pitbull ownership/defense would nosedive.

It's a wonderful thought, but what you would see is the usual Leftist playbook being brought out. Even if you didn't mention breeds, pitmommies would raise a fuss about how you're unfairly targeting Li'l Munchie because she can't help it if her fur baby likes chewing on things.

Could always go the old fashioned route of just shooting every Pitbull you see and then daring the pitmommy to say something.

Good way to get shot by niggers
No shit, you try to chase the dog out of a busy street and the guy sauntering around says “Bro, bro look at her, she trying to steal your dog bro, she trying to steal it”.
He could have shot me with the illegal gun I’m positive he had, I could have been attacked by the dog, it could have chased me into traffic.
I was pants on head retarded back then.

No stupid fucking waste of skin, I was trying to save it but I don’t want it anywhere near me, take your goddamn dog away and inside.

Very glad to both know how dangerous pits are now, and to not live in an area where they’re constantly getting loose.

im not so sure about that, after all dogs were successfully used for hunting wild boars in the past

Yeah packs of dogs were used to tire the hog out and herd it towards the humans in the hunting group that did the actual killing with boar spears.
Correct, dogs were only ever used as distraction for the boar so the human hunters could then move in and kill it. There are only a few wild animals capable of killing adult boars (most other predators only kill the immature/baby boars), namely wolves (in large enough packs), tigers and komodo dragons funnily enough (having a bite that causes severe bleeding and infection helps a lot, that and being quite massive with thick skin).
Pitbulls may be tough looking and solid, but they would 100% get gored to death and/or violently thrown around. They do not have the smarts of a wolf to dodge and have an attack pattern, nor the sheer strength and power of a tiger/komodo dragon to just go for the neck slam them.

Allow me to direct you to the Videos of People Dying thread to show you what a boar is capable of doing to another organism
I've read a lot about the danger a wild boar represents, because of its sharp tusks. But I never knew how fucking strong these things could be.

If looked like the boar was just fucking around with the ragdoll physics maxed out.
