I wish military in real life was as cool as video games, instead you just have obese danger haired lesbian troopers and transgender generals. If COD was a realistic killing simulator, it wouldn't sell for being too boring.

Next thing you're going to tell me that old flash game interactive buddy was a realistic guantanamo bay psyop designed to activate serial killers and recruit torturers.

This is the same theory behind Media Representation theory. "Video games make you violent."

It's not true. Gets brought up every 6-12 months cause they really really WANT it to be true, but is immediately struck down by someone examining the study and finding it doesn't pass scientific rigor. The reason they really really want this to be true is if Violent Games make you Violent then Woke Games make you(r kids) Woke, and it means that if you see your identity group in media it's better for you in various ways ("we need more nigs on Teevee and less whypypo, for diverse representation").

Like everything else the modern left believes in, it's all based on lies they really feel like it should be true/real/accurate, and honestly, aren't their feelings just as important as your facts?

Infinite doesn't count, and even then they don't promote communism (though the DLC for Infinite does try and undo the message about extremism being bad of the main game)

I can actually tall about this! Recently the chickens came home to roost for these companies wrt home insurance, because of roof damage. Insurance found it was too expensive to cover for it, and there was a lot of hard-to-prove for wear and tear vs human damage vs storm damage. So it became too expensive. But by law they have to cover roofs because, yanno, it's part of a house. So they just stopped writing house/renter's insurance entirely. Not just State Farm, but American National too. So it's not just California, but country wide.

First it was the Evangelicals and geriatric activists and politicians hating on video games for them being violent, satanic, pornographic, and causing school shootings and delinquency.

Then it came the feminists and journos hating on video games for them promoting misogyny, the male gaze, troonsphobia, homophobia, and racism.

And now as of 2025, video games are apparently some neocon globohomo propaganda psyop to recruit random kids into the US army and CIA, but they also promote Communism, or some other shit that random tranime avatars come up with in their schizo brainrotted heads.

There is something about video games as a form of media and entertainment that always makes certain demographics of different generations cope and dilate over their existence and popularity, and I'm not really sure why, they will just constantly come up with new excuses to justify why they hate vidya.

No. No. No.

Consulting with military personnel for general accuracy of weapons, plot, tactics is not the government funding a blockbuster video game.

America's Army was directly funded, endorsed, and created by the US Army for recruitment purposes. Name me an example where Call of Duty tried to recruit its fanbase for the military.

They don’t like vidya competing with their ideologies. Who needs to discuss feminism or the Bible when you have Valorant? Besides, they think people are children who can’t tell fiction from reality.
