Wait until they find out before we had violent video games and movies we had actual gladitorial combat sports back before Christ and a brief period in American history when the great sport was watching two brutes punch it out for millions of dollars and untreated brain bleeds).
To be completely fair. The sport gladiators were not the same as often depicted in movies.

The battles to the death that come mind whenever the mainstream thinks of the word “gladiator” was effectively the way the Romans enacted their death sentences for criminals.
The average gladiator match had 3 events.
1-the criminals fight to the death, generally the weakest and least interesting. Think of it like the warm up fight at a boxing match,
2-Professional Gladiators vs exotic animals. Lions, hippos, birds, alligators etc. these were somewhat like modern day bull fights and usually considered the most exciting because this was how the masses got to see animals from other countries. Unless things went very badly, the gladiators here almost never died.
3-the main event, Gladiators vs Gladiators. This was almost never a fight to the death. Training a gladiator was a hefty investment as they often were signed with schools that specialized in gladiator training, were outfitted with unique armor, and were meant to be a big draw for the owner of the school. Think of this like how a sports team invests in their athletes. These gladiators would fight until one was disarmed or incapacitated. And not all were weapon fights, some were traditional wrestling. In general, death during a gladiator fight only really happened in the event of an accident.

In fact, gladiators were major celebrities in Rome and there are tombstones of ancient gladiators that have their win/loss ratio etched on them. Even more interesting, actors were not considered celebrities and were often seen as low class. Nero loved the theatre and would perform on stage and this was often seen as a sign of him being poorly suited to be emperor. Whereas the emperors who fought in the colosseum were considered the ultra chads of their day.

yeah, no. fiction isn't reality and never will. some retards will be retarded, because that's just human nature, they don't need any fiction for that. it's also the reason vegans can eat meat in videogames.

funny story, had a mate of mate talking a big talk how much of a badass dude he was. ended up at a shooting range together, dude couldn't hit a target for like an hour because he was shaking so much. guess he should've played more cod than he already did...
It depends on what higher level of thinking you have. Children who play a VR horror game get legitimately traumatized because they can't conceptualize that it's fiction. I think it's confirmed that children who play violent games before they have developed an internal dialogue get really, really fucked up

You don't think the Romans are desensitized and need help with killing? The Roman propaganda machine does nothing but promote military service and make their enemies subhuman.

What do you think is more desensitizing? Kingdom Come Deliverance or growing up in a society that throws parades for every major conquest as well as bringing in tons of slaves and for shits and giggles makes those slaves fight each other to the death?
I don't know man... Kingdom Come Deliverance did a great job of convincing me that Cumans are a bunch of subhuman, murderous scum who deserve to face the wrath of all good Christians.

Of course, when was the last time a Cuman was around outside of a video game?

"making something look cool" is not an elaborate psyop
Correct. "Making something look cool" is not an elaborate psyop.

  • Make "cool looking" military shooter. (not psyop)
  • Elaborate a story where the US military fights evil bad guys that coincide with real-world equivalents.
  • Elaborate by having the US military consult on the story.
  • Elaborate by having the US military consult on gameplay to improve military recruitment.
  • Elaborate by holding many official tournaments sponsored by the game company and US military.
  • Elaborate by making literal recruitment speeches during these official sponsored tournaments.
  • Elaborate by having esports teams in every branch of the military.
  • Elaborate by having active duty military personnel play alongside young male civilians that are being actively recruited at.
  • Elaborate by promoting a sense of "community" that includes the games players and the US military. Insinuating that playing the game includes you in a community that includes the US military.
  • Elaborate by having this game utilize modern psychological manipulations ("skinner box", loot crates, FoMO, etc).
  • Elaborate by knowingly running a portion of less intellegent young men into debt by using predatory monetization systems.
  • Elaborate by directly trying to recruit these, now broke, young men into the US military.
At this point is it "elaborate"?
At this point is it "psychological"?
At this point is it a military "operation"?

Is it an "elaborate psyop"?

Okay i want to see how many people signed up for the meat grinder because of this event.

Because the Simpsons already poked fun at how out of touch and ineffective this sort of shit is.
The only recruiting commercials that ever worked were ones with guys fucking shit up or cutting the head off lava dragons. They got rid of all that shit and replaced it with brown women holding books and wearing safety glasses.

To be fair, I refunded Bioshock Infinite because the game wouldn't let me throw tomatoes at the race mixer in the intro. It's pretty deep into the Globohomo slop.
Don't get me fucking started. For a "racist populous", you don't see blacks getting lunched, you don't see any black slaves getting beaten by their white masters, nor does anyone black get called a "nigger". It is the most PG-13 ass racism I've ever seen. Though, the fact that Ken Levine calls himself "culturally Jewish" goes a long way to explain the three games.

Makes sense, Alberta is one of the provinces in the past that's had a stronger desire to break away from Canada, including some separatists that have expressed support for joining the United States.
You have to understand that Alberta and it's oil sands are pretty much the main thing holding up the country. Yet, it seems like every passing years, the province gets fucked over by stupid fucking policies that only harm the one province that produces anything of global value.

We need the data to how effective it is.
How many people have they convinced to get blown up by sand niggers in the desert. Using this supposed psyop?
Because they also tried to make Super Soldiers by way of LSD and mind shit. And the reason we know about it, is because it was ineffective, stupid and cost a shit tone of wasted money.
You will find that most of these "psyops" are just batshit brainstorm ideas that were only put in to practice because the higher ups have to account for the money spent on their departments.
You fall in to the trap of thinking the government is staffed full of Patrick Batemans. When it mostly staffed with people who would lose a battle of wits with a glass of water, with the only skill they have is opportunism and being good at passing the blame for their fuck ups on to patsys.

Don't worry they are making ads specifically targeting White men now:

I agree the lava monster marine recruitment video was badass.

Is that a new army ad? I think they were trying to make him look badass but instead it made him look like a pussy. Battles Won is probably the best recruiting ad ever. Lots of implied violence and cultural pride.

Assessing US Recruitment: The Military V. Pete Hegseth (November 19th, 2024)

At the end of September, the services enlisted just shy of 225,000 new recruits in fiscal year 2024. That’s over 25,000 more than fiscal year 2023...

“for the first time since this metric has been tracked, the majority of youth have never even considered military service as an option. That is, it’s not even on the radar. This divide has been brought about by a confluence of many factors, including the shrinking military footprint and declining veteran presence across society.

...the participants in the Media Roundtable were optimistic about the future, based on changes they all have made to professionalize their recruitment corps.

Dr. Helland said, “We also seek to expand the market by reconnecting with young adults and their influencers on the value proposition of service...

“When we take care of our recruiters,” Waters said, “they take care of the mission. Because we recognize that today’s recruits are engaging online more than ever, we ramped up our presence on social media, expanded our e-sports [online gaming] efforts and employed creative talent in our award-winning Sailor Verses YouTube series.

*bold to highlight

In 2024 they added 25,000 (≈+12.5%) more annual recruits and met their recruitment goals. This is primarily attributed to online outreach (social media & esports).

Edit:
You fall in to the trap of thinking the government is staffed full of Patrick Batemans
I didn't think that at all. Plus, Patrick Bateman was kind of fucking up.

And look at where it got them in the GRIDS epidemic.
After the Ball was written in part BECAUSE of the AIDS epidemic. One of the things it talks about is reframing what the public thinks of as far as the typical gay AIDS victim, with a calculated view that the public face of AIDS victims should be people that were infected without there knowledge or consent by callous sociopathic lovers who didn't care who they were killing with the disease. Because in part, there was a growing notion of "good AIDS/bad AIDS" as far as how you got it and evil fuckers learning you can straight up murder someone with the virus.

Which was a real thing, as there was an upswing in "malevolent gift giver" killers weaponizing the virus against in innocent men in the late 80s 90s to punish the world after getting infected; which is why current year monsters like Scott Weiner legalizing the infecting of people with AIDS and no longer being felony murder, has huge numbers of the gay community wanting to murder him, since for a lot of people in the gay community, they remember the dark days of the AIDS epidemic and how hard it was to get the law to make it felony murder to purposely infect people with AIDS to kill them.

Okay now what we need to see is how many bodies did the supposed gaming "psyop" recruited. You have shown the data for an entire year.
But what we really need is the data on how many bodies did that gaming event cause to sign up to be shot at by sand niggers?
Because if it got 10 sign ups out of 600 watchers and/or participants. It was a failure. The cut off for failure is around 20% anything below that number of sign ups compared to watchers/participants means it clearly was not worth the money spent.
Because they can hide the numbers in "media" meaning that to disguise the failure of a certain "psyop". They could say for instance roll in the bad number from the gaming one in to something like TV adverts and have the TV advert numbers obscure the real number.

This thread has a nice, cozy, schizophrenic vibe to it. All over the place and really autistic. I really felt myself falling into the madness, blanket at the ready, feeling life was alright and things would be okay. That was until:
Scott Weiner legalizing the infecting of people with AIDS and no longer being felony murder
"Oh that was HIM?! What a motherfucker! Let me find a little more about that psychopathic murderous retard."

I think this is the closest I've ever been to fedposting, gang. Huh. I mean it's only an inch more than 0, and would mostly be in jest, but it's still the closest.

The cut off for failure is around 20%
The click through rate on ads is 100 or 1000 times lower than that. Then you have the rest of the "sales funnel". I don't think literally kidnapping people and subjecting them to MKUltra levels of brainwashing would have a 20% conversion rate.

I'm pretty sure most people reading this thread weren't aware of the US military's use of Call of Duty as an active military recruitment tool, and Activision/Blizzard's official sponsored cooperation.

I don't think this is some world shattering revelation. There has always been patriotism, propaganda, and psyops.

The military needs young men capable of fighting. Promoting the young men of their country to play, simulate, and practice the skills needed for war is in their interest.

Imagine a boy raised in some hippie commune equivalent of the Amish. No movies or videogames; no fireworks or explosions; never held a gun. He is likely going to be overly sensative to bootcamp, let alone a war zone.

A different boy who plays Call of Duty knows what a violent war vaguely looks like, from a first person point of view. Explosion are expected. Having adrenaline while making twitch reflex movements to try and shoot before being shot has been done repeatedly for many hours.

It isn't a replacement for actual real world combat. But, there is a level of lessened sensitivity; a desensitivity.

The US military promotes the desensitization of young men to war and shooting at other people. Military themed shooter games is one of the methods they promote to accomplish this goal.

They could bring back rifle shooting class into highschool, but I don't think that would go over very well. Plus, these games are more sophisticated. There is an operant loop of quickly finding a human target and shooting it that can be hooked into a psychological reward system.
