Yes it's faster in speech and writing. I'll give you that much. If I'm writing a date down in words, then yes I go MDY. But for date stamps, DMY is superior. Ain't nothing worse than seeing "3/2/2023" or something and being like "is it March 2nd or February 3rd" because some places use MDY and some use DMY.
This is irrelevant to how it should be placed numerically, and even if it was, it's only like 0.3 seconds faster and english isn't the only language on the planet
