I don't think that wheely steve guy is right when he says DSP courts them. It's just some positive reinforcement thing, where DSP realizes what works and he keeps doing that thing, and after years and years of doing that thing he ends up with an audience of retarded people.

If he intentionally tried to do it, he'd fuck it up somehow. He'd think it was a good idea to have some down syndrome event and end up insulting them all accidentally or something. He's not capable of guile. He resents it anyway, it's an injury to his ego.

• Bragged about fixing some OBS settings even though we all know he didn't (Dragon cuck likely had to do a behind the scenes tech call) that made his scrolling beg rewards look "better", because how a leaderboard work is essential of course
• Bragged about how well "events" this week went (this is code for I made a fuck ton of money off you idiots)
• Talked about killing off a $50 Patreon membership that gave you a private react with DSP, now he'll just do Q&A (something he does for free because his podcast is 45 minutes too long) for $50 because he's generous. Reality, he never wanted to do these on off time and would cancel a stream to do them, but can't do that anymore because in his mind, 1 stream = $150
• Whined about low support Thursday, after making $700+ Wednesday and at least $300+ Tuesday, whining that it's the lowest stream in 7 months (not true, but he says that on every low stream to exaggerate and make dents feel guilty)
• Talked about buying more fast food, because you love $1500 = one shitty whiny bitch fest while eating Doordashed Taco Bell
• Used his cult speak to say "you like that I don't shill Dollar Shave Club, or give you referral codes, and just ask for contributions"
• Begged for tips early & big to hit $150, because you don't want me to have to beg all stream so do it now
• Shoutouts... used a tip to beg "talented artists" to do specialized art work for him, for free naturally
• Another shout out... used a 2nd tip talking about art to give suggestions on art he wanted, again for free of course
• No more shoutouts, so pivot to begging for Kick support, 4 minutes after begging for contributions. On Kick, he has likely gotten 100 dumb fucks to pay for a subscription, and had over 2250 gifted out. Contrary to belief, this is not normal for 99.9999% of streamers.
• Disgusting beg using a chat comment to pivot to a tip & giggle, as if anybody thinks he's actually kidding
• Commented about WheelySteve (disabled dude that ripped DSP for begging disabled people) and of course flipped it around to say "Lol so I mind control people to contribute", completely missing the point. Called them desperate.
• DSP Tries It food talk for 15 minutes, whines when nobody decides his food for him because he's a baby, asks Kat what 10 things she wants
• Immediately upon returning, talks about how expensive the food he got was, because he has to emphasize he really splurged getting $60 in food for a $1500 goal
• Watched Yakuza trailer, did a "hope you actually show up & support it" whine
• 1 hour into podcast, out of topics, Q&A time (remember the thing you have to pay $50 on Patreon for), did 30 minutes of mindless Q&A. Also, Q&A is just a way to stall for tips if anybody was confused.

Everything he does is a front for money at this point. The only time when money is secondary is when he rages at SF6, where he actually forgets to beg because he's so tilted about how much he sucks.

Phil is a terrible speaker.

This is Phil's evolution(or devolution) to his streams now. Just dressing up 2 hours of rambling as a podcast, on why he needs money. Apparently this is where a lot of detractor's content wants to revolve around when it's just the same shit on a different day, but in a different order. I guess there's not much more to him now since gameplay is a bit nerfed with his choice of games and how much time he's wasting during his day.

The fact is that Phil is too lazy to have any kind of discipline and too retarded and antisocial to understand the human condition. Say whatever you want about scammers or cult leaders, but they aren't lazy and they actually put some work into learning their targets and studying selling tactics, speech patterns and ways to approach people and exploit vulnerability.

Phil doesn't do any of that. While it's true that he checks all the boxes to be considered a cult leader, I don't think it's intentional, which is why I truly believe he doesn't think he's lying when he denies manipulating the retards into giving him money, because in his mind he's not doing any of that. This may sound illogical, but this is Phil we're talking about. I truly believe he's so deep in his delusion he's way past denial and just sees reality in his own way.

I do agree it's some form of conditioning, that he's told people so often and so shamelessly that they HAVE to support that it's become an accepted idea since all forms of challenge are silenced. If Phil showed even a bit of regret about mistreating his audience, they would realize it's bad, but since he's always justifying his shitty behavior, they have learned to accept this and even adopt Phil's way of thinking, and I say it because I partially have become unsensitized to Phil's way and forget how regular streamers act and how Phil is not like them in any capacity.

I agree and think it's closer to a conditioned/learned behavior - he has learned the words and actions that bring in easy money through trial and error, and he doesn't think about it any deeper than 'this works to give me money, so it's right by definition and I'm going to keep doing it'.

The 2 JRPGs with Ichiban are mainline games, not spin-offs. But yeah this is something I've noticed myself, ever since Yakuza 7 came out he rechristened the entire series into all of them being JRPGs for some reason. Literally every game in the series was a brawler game except Dead Souls which was a third-person shooter/horror game. Even the Kurohyou spin-off that was developed by Syn Sophia was a brawler.

Edit to prevent double-posting: not the first time he has done this, but he's currently stalling hardcore, holding the gameplay hostage by simply waiting for people to send money and wasting time by reading random chats while begging people to let him hit the goal before starting gameplay. According to his own schedule, he was supposed to start gameplay 30 minutes ago, making the schedule a straight-up lie (next to literally never starting the pre-stream at the promised time anymore).

The usual sad and lonely suspects are falling for it, so expect this to become the standard. We're now fully into LTG-style streaming arc.
