General Wrestling Discussion

Doing my yearly binge of lucha underground. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Melissa Santos. Thank you.

Just gotta say I love this ad.
Bret, Austin, Hulk, Sting, and Shawn. These are the FIVE main characters of 90s Wrestling. It’s a showing of self awareness that Triple H did not insert himself in the ad and no Rocky Johnson who the fans still loathed all the way to WM18.
bret didnt take his eyes off shawn for a second. if looks could kill

Rock got really big in 98-99, but that's only 2 years in the 90's. You could kinda say the same thing for Austin in terms of popularity though.

for some reason i just remembered sting dogshit wwe run. hhh is a fucking stain on wrestling
It's mad that Sting never really had a proper run in the WWE
I wonder if you gave him creative control so he wouldnt get buried by the booking whether he would sign with them

Pretty sure it was the brinks truck of cash that Tony offered.
Yeah, that and I think WWE restricted him on some of the dumb shit he would want to do like the cage dive. Dude was already forced to retire once I could see WWE being like slow down don't die in the ring. I just got home and didn't see collison but saw on Twitter a picture of Brody King and Julia Hart talking to him. With House of black broken up I can't wait for Judgement Day Jr.

I suppose Edge getting a faction wouldn't be a bad thing because FTR currently glomming on to him is boring as fuck. Malakai seems happy enough to go back to WWE catering and the rest of House of Black have just sort of naturally turned face for some reason.

I don't think it was so much as WWE forcing him to retire as opposed to him having a broken neck and he couldn't get a medical clearance for the longest time.

That is like implying that Kurt Angle went to TNA because the WWE was forcing him to retire. No, he was pilled out of his mind and they didn't want him dying in the ring on their TV.

According to Podcast Kingpin Conrad Thompson. Vince has a spot and is currently building a roster.
I really can't wait to watch the bidding wars between vince's new company and his old one.
I know this has been debunked but I wish it were true because it would put AEW out of business or severely diminish them even worse.
I get all of my WWE coverage from reddit
There’s your problem.

How does one watch that without spending 3 dollars per episode? Are there Blu Rays of any decent quality?

I knew you were a retard when I first saw you speak.
There's a reason Why edge is in aew. Dude was a wwe lifer, he held him down since 02.
He’s in AEW because TK backed up the Brinks Truck.
dont work yourself into a shoot, mark
Like you did?

I could buy that Edge also fell into the same pitfall that so many others did; thinking they could come in and make a positive influence in a company run by a clueless messageboard nerd who thinks he's the best booker in history, full of talent who think they know everything because their friends back in Cali booked them to take dick flips and do fake lucha for 300 people at a time.

Sting should have come in to WWE at least 10 years before he did. If he hadn't gone to TNA, I think he would have had some great programs. By the time he finally came around, it was too late.
Was surprised to see Sting at a fan convention a couple months ago, maybe he just likes to meet fans but thought he was busier than that.
Tbh was marked out and nervous to meet him, but he’s such a nice man and of course, he’s still Sting.

It's also hard for anyone to walk away from a career they love. It's hard to reinvent yourself.

All things considered, Edge going to AEW is a hell of a lot better than slinging it in the indies and doing fan conventions.

How has this not been posted in here yet? There's a new indie wrestler in Chicago in some Superwrestlers fed, and...well I'm not gonna spoil it. Just watch:

Best entrance ever.
IT'S STEVEN FLOWE. HE'S HERE.
Update: Super Wrestlers have put out the full length entrance music of Steven Flowe (2 weeks ago, but I just now stumbled across it being recommended to me)
