My bosses were talking about bidding for setting up systems in a hypothetical situation where the government takes over Greenland and was looking for volunteers to ship out for work. I can't help thinking of a TV show that airs on "classic" over the air subchannels that featured California-based firefighters. The show's run included at least two episodes focused on brush/forest fires. In those, everyone involved was smart/mature enough to put any differences and egos aside and work together to fight those blazes.

Today, the real-life emphasis is on what differences define people to the point it's difficult at best to work together because people are too focused on being on top of the oppression pyramid. I keep thinking about this. While calling it the Competency Crisis is a good enough name I think its more fitting to compare it to Cargo Cultists.

The wealthiest companies with the most advanced industries in the US got there over decades or even a century of incremental advancement and work. But these DEI hire cultists think wealth is merely an expression of systemic racism or the patriarchy or whatever. These entities are just wealthy because white people made them and they steal everything from the underclasses.
