Isn’t a lot of the scholarship on the late Bronze Age collapse pretty recent?
More historically educated kiwis please correct/educate me if I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that a lot of the archeological evidence and scholarly work on the LBAC, especially related to the sea peoples and their origins/existence, was fairly recent stuff.

If so, how did Rudyard make this video without breaking his rule about not reading “woke” post-1960s stuff?

Edit: got around to doing some research on this, and the book "Sea Peoples" Up-to-Date: New Research on Transformation in the Eastern Mediterranean in 13th-11th Centuries BCE by Peter M. Fischer and Teresa Bürge confirmed my recollection in its first chapter, “Reflections on the Outcomes of the Workshop: Problems and Desiderata.” In particular, they note on page 11 that theories which linked sea peoples and their migrations to the LBAC were shunned from the 1960s to 90s, until undergoing a renaissance this century.
So it seems like Rudyard would have had to rely on “woke” and “liberal” post-1960s academic sources to make this video.

Embarrassing tbh, making a 10 hour rant that spent a great deal of time railing on this point only to completely abandon those principles barely weeks later. Sad!

Does the recent video mention anything about the Atlantean Arian connection theory? I keep seeing comments referring to "sea people" and I don't actually know fuck all about history to know if this is the correct timeline I just desperately want to see whatif4threich so bad

I wonder if Rudy will do a Rhodesia video. It doesn't seem up his alley, but then again I didn't think Rudy would stream his mental breakdown.
New hot shit take from Rudy:

That video's from a few months ago. Granted, he's been churning out politisperging videos for the past 2 years now and I can barely tell one from the other.

Probably a reference to the supposed raiders that some theorize triggered the Bronze Age collapse. Not sure on the specifics but there were some sea peoples of unknown origin that attacked some Bronze Age civilizations. No idea on the voracity of it or how seriously real historians take it though

Only so much is known about the Sea Peoples but there is a lot of discussion relating to their hypothetical origin points. The most common view currently is that they were different tribes or groups coming in from different parts of the Mediterranean. The more fanciful ideas on the matter try to link them to a legendary Atlantis.

The whole subject is presently a lot of speculation and fancies, we know far less about the Bronze Age collapse (and the Bronze Age in general) than, say, the transition from late antiquity to the medieval ages. That's not to say academics don't take the subject or idea seriously, but I personally look at the whole of it with a healthy degree of skepticism.

I'd like to thank the history spergs here for providing interesting commentary and theories between his schizotweets. History is a dense subject with many nooks and crannies to look into, having multiple Kiwis sperg and discuss helps fill in Kiwis like me who haven't studied those areas so well.

It also highlights how it is harder to cover big swaths of history by yourself. Rudy would benefit from a few other history friends to debate and sperg about, but he likely prefers yes men due to his sensitive nature.

Ultimately, hes really young. I just hope he isn't going down the schizo path. If he does, I hope he takes meds.
He does seem smart from the way he talks, so he still has potential.

Wait so he is on drugs since 2021 atleast? I thought his drug adventure started recently, but looking back it explains so much.
