Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

If Trump cucks and starts sending billions of taxpayer dollars to rebuild mansions in California, I will be seriously pissed off.

Those assholes made their burning bed, and they can get fucked in it.
I'm sure Trump would rather encourage the rich to rebuild in red states which can rehabilitate them into realizing that they were in a cesspit of their own making.

Either that or let them pony up the cash and reinvest into the country on their own dime.

As I've said before, what he cares about more than anything else, absolutely anything, is having his ass kissed. Scrape, bow, and fawn before him and he will shower you with gibs, even if you're a retarded liberal who has repeatedly screeched against him. Remember, he said Greasy Gav was always "very nice to him" before.

I'd give you rainbows, but then I remember that is the symbol God used to promise not to flood the Earth again.

No, the rich would more likely make the same mistakes.

Isn't 770 US dollars more than what Helene victims got?

An absolute disgrace. Californians deserve 770 lashes each.
During Katrina the Red Cross gave everyone $2000 debit cards and that was 20 years ago. Of course those led to the highest revenue months in the history of Gulf Coast casinos but that's not the point.

Picking back up again. Gotta be arson.

With the current drought conditions and the allure of loot I'm kind of surprised that we haven't seen alot more arson, maybe it will start to pick up since the fires are starting to get under control and the opportunity for looting is decreasing.

I'm still blown away by how entire blocks are flattened except for the trees in people's yards.
There were pictures of houses burned down to the foundation, absolutely nothing left, and not 5 feet away there is a beautiful green lawn that would make Hank Hill proud. Those standing trees and green lawns were kept well watered. I though Cali had some kind of law/ordinance in place that limited water use for landscaping due to the drought? If anyone is familiar with the water situation feel free to correct me. Maybe it doesn't apply to LA because droughts are for poor people.

Or they were waiting for the winds to kick back up to increase the likelihood of spread. Tonight should be peak.

There are strict restrictions. The rich people just pay the fines.

On the other hand, billions of taxpayer dollars might be worth it if it keeps Californians in California.

It might be money well spent if it stops the woke Borg and their lesbian firefighter brain disease from spreading all over the country.

Quick question: The property taxes on most of those houses are over $100,000 annually.
A lot of people pay those on a monthly basis.

Does a homeowner have to still pay with these levels of criminal mismanagement?
Do you have to pay if your property, neighbors, and township are burned to ash?
https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2025-01-14/wildfire-loss-utilities-mortgage-rent has some information on that, basically

What about my property taxes?
If your home or business was affected by the windstorms or fires, you may be eligible for temporary property tax relief through the Los Angeles County assessor’s office. You should file a misfortune or calamity claim to request reassessment of your property.

At this point California is pretty much an IRL wasteland we got ghouls there already from all the fent users, raiders are the gangs and after the fire is said and done LA is gonna be the boneyard.
Thinking of gangs, I wonder how the drug trade is going in L.A. right now. If any stashes got incinerate, the cartels are going to slaughter whomever was on watch, just on principle right? Or was it decentralized, spread out, and safely in cars as smartly as the insurance companies were weeks in advance? It would be interesting to see where the money is at regarding the gangs and drug trade right now, I can see a lot of $770 holders dropping a Benjamin just to calm down for a night or two.

Seems somewhat useful but judging by the provided form the relief from that may not be immediately felt in the short term.
