Two new fires have started in Riverside County amid Santa Ana winds, sparking new evacuations in Southern California.

The Scout fire is burning near Mission Boulevard and Crestmore Road in Jurupa Valley and the second fire is burning in Hemet near Warren Road and Esplanade Avenue, Riverside County fire officials said.

The Scout fire had burned two acres as of 1 p.m. and has the potential to burn five, according to Riverside Fire Department Division Chief Michael Staley. The blaze began around 12:03 p.m. in the Santa Ana River bottom.

No structures were threatened and 13 units were deployed to fight the fire, Staley said. Helicopters were also conducting water drops. The fire wasn’t contained as of 1:15 p.m.

An evacuation order was issued for Mount Rubidoux Park, a mountain just west of downtown Riverside. Riverside Community Hospital is about half a mile southeast of the park, and the historic Mission Inn Hotel is about four-fifths of a mile away.

The Stone fire that burned in Hemet was contained around 1:10 p.m. and began around noon, according to Hemet fire officials.

Thats right inside the city with tons of fuel and the winds are really strong, blowing away from the river too.
If they dont get this one under control asap its going to be nasty.

CNN freaking out over people not swallowing the propaganda about climate change and wildfires:
Of course nobody cares about climate these days. Call me a spazz if you want, but I think it is possible that humans' carbon dioxide emissions do have potential to impact the environment. The physics make sense. But let's be real about it, FFS.

The Greta Thunderburd stuff is bullshit. A bunch of fools gathered to watch a self-starved autistic child's prophesy of impending doom; her spoopy accent and toddler appearance turning her into some sort of stupid oracle for idiots.

Of course nobody cares about climate change anymore. A retarded little Swede predicted we'd all be dead by 2023, and then she pulled a grumpy face at Trump. So what? We're still here and so is Donald.

Every fucker knows the severity of the LA fires is due to bad management. Now we just need Greta to sail across the Atlantic and douse the flames with her carbon-neutral fire truck.

Greta is pure propaganda. Nothing more than the corporation's handpuppet used to dispel anyone who'd dare criticize megacorps and governments in the attempt to 'greenify' AKA deprive people of property.

She is nothing more than the harbinger of 'eat ze bugs and own nossing' future.

The Marxists won.
Not yet, but they were (and probably are) close. The thing is no amount of propaganda and gaslighting can overwrite the lived reality of the majority. And short of going full fascist and put everyone in camps and what not there will always be pushback. We saw it in your election. When the silent Majority suddenly speaks up we get a (maybe? at least on paper) course correction - as it should be in a democracy.

It is tough, i am not even from the US and my first thought upon hearing about fires were the same as most here: Schadenfreude. That can't be the way forward, because then the Marxists have really won. Fuck this world, i want to go back to the 90s.

You are right. I'm malding she won because how much she fucked up Mexico City before she left, how inescapable her campaign was and that it began way before it was allowed. There's a clip of this very obviously Jewish woman saying she prays to Our Lady of Guadalupe, is so cringe. The woman was getting torched before the election and then she won. I'm not surprised that she won per se, I'm frustrated she did.
Claudia had the insane luck of facing probably the worst PAN campaign possible (who sabotaged themselves so hard by tying themselves to PRI and nominating an outside candidate of their choosing) and having zero vote-splitting from the left for the first time since multi-party democracy came to Mexico. PRI is political venom and it needs to be fucking disbanded already.

Oh fuck I hope it doesn't get to Norco, pretty much everyone there owns a horse or other large animal. Evacuating would be a shitshow. One of the few places in California I would actually be sad to see burn down. It's just neat driving through there watching lots of people ride their horses instead of driving.

Also it would break my heart if Norco's Best or Rodeo Burger burned down. Every time I'd go through there I'd get either the Pastrami from Norco's Best or the Chili Cheese Fries from Rodeo Burger. Any Cali-kiwis who end up evacuating in that direction drop by Norcos best and tell me if the Pastrami is good, it's been over a decade since I've had it and it's the one thing I miss about commifornia.

how many times have we told the world is gonna end FOR SURE in 5, 10, 12, etc years, only to have the end date changed over and over again? You have to get some predictions right if you want people to go along with your scam.

I recall sometime in 2017 or 2018 I was told 12 years was all we had according to the labcoat nerds. Times ticking 4 more years before another prediction gonezo

. Fuck this world, i want to go back to the 90s.
You and me both. The world really went to shit after 9/11. And i am happy that I live in a small town that barely progresses.

This past summer, I took a family road trip on route 66 that ended up in Anaheim. Never again do i want to go to California. Would be a great state but has shitty government, shitty people, and shitty prices. Fuck California.
