Elon does not need handlers, he needs a cave rescue to pull him out of the k-hole he keeps falling into. I am starting to wonder how much of his erratic behavior is caused by long term effects of drug abuse and how much of it is that natural born stable genius billionaire neurodivergence. To get into pointless slapfights with internet nobodies when you have fuck off money I can only speculate the contributing factors are multifaceted. Or maybe having all the money in the world is not enough if you do not have what really matters, all the attention in the world - here is another post dedicated to you, Elon! Thanks for the laughs.
Or the inner workings of highly intelligent genius billionaires will continue to escape me, and this is why I will stay jealous, poor, and not engaged in Twitter drama with Twitch streamers that use dead rats as a substitute for an alarm clock.
As someone with my own experience with Ketamine and willing to powerlevel a bit:
https://kiwifarms.st/threads/sanctioned-suicide.145363/page-107#post-19707956 (rate me powerlevel all you want, since it keeps getting brought up I think it is relevant to share my thoughts on it since I've taken it for depression and people keep bringing up Elon Musk + ketamine)
I think people looking at his use of ketamine so much may either be being a bit sensationalist or may also be correct - but it
really, really, really depends on how much he is taking and his particular circumstances. At his wealth level he probably has a private on-call team of doctors who will prescribe him basically anything he wants. Ketamine does have medical uses for depression and is a relatively new thing (the drug isn't new but the usage of it is). It works dramatically faster than any typical antidepressant and has way less side effects - for some people it can be an extreme miracle cure (you'll note the post I linked to above is in the Sanctioned Suicide thread) and although it isn't spoken about that widely there are treatment clinics all over the US and other 1st world countries that specialize in Ketamine treatment.
Even though it is an extremely promising treatment usually doctors like to give people SSRIs first (although technically this isn't mandatory). Often times people who take Ketamine for depression have tried many typical antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs etc) beforehand with little success.
I have used it in a clinical setting under supervision of nurses and a doctor and you're not allowed to exceed the dose they give you (its a nasal spray that I took which isn't enough to send you into outer space and is actually slightly different to actual Ketamine - it is called esketamine and its fucking expensive). But some people also take lozenges (which is an even smaller dose) and some people take much larger doses via EV drip.
When it comes to "illicit" use people self EV drip themselves, snort it and do all sorts of shit. Given the cost of legitimate treatment with doctor supervision some people resort to these methods without actually abusing them because its the only choice they have (there's an entire subreddit or two just about this world).
Many places will tell you that you cannot drive nor sign any legal documents for a period of 24 hours after treatment and treatment is typically done twice a week in the initial stages and then only really twice a month later on. I have heard that when it comes to IV drip ketamine they keep you inpatient and administer a lot more.
The guy from Friends who died from taking it was taking it therapeutically but was apparently also taking it on the side which is when he died from it.
It is genuinely a highly promising treatment for depression. However like all medications it can be abused and may have bad reactions with some people. Without knowing Elon's specific use its really hard to say if it would impact him. In my own personal experience you feel a bit dizzy/shit for like 12 hours after taking it and then feel great for like 1-2 weeks afterwards. Given Elon is also autistic he probably suffers from extreme irritability and anxiety which it may also help with.
If he's abusing the fuck out of it then there can be super significant bad outcomes like fucking up your bladder and some other parts of your body permanently. It also sometimes triggers extremely high blood pressure temporarily.
Having said all of that there's a few possibilities here (or more) IMHO:
- Elon Musk takes it legitimately for depression and at therapeutic doses and it helps with his depression. Because he's taking it at therapeutic levels and he takes it only every 2 weeks or so it doesn't impact his decision making abilities or behavior and he just acts like this because he's autistic.
- Elon Musk takes it legitimately for depression and even though he only takes it at therapeutic doses it impacts his decision making abilities somewhat.
- Elon Musk takes it frequently and at large doses and it impacts his decision making ability and behavior heavily.
- Elon Musk is not only taking ketamine but is also taking other drugs that impact his decision making ability and behavior heavily.
(I can't say anything about other drugs he may take because I'm not familiar with what he takes)
Now whether or not someone who is the CEO of multibillion dollar companies should be taking ketamine is sort of the same question of whether they should be able to take antidepressants (SSRIs) because those can trigger extreme behavioral changes (mania etc) in some people also. This also applies to any other psychotropic medications and even recreational drugs and may also include alcohol also.
Aside from Ketamine, Elon Musk has also apparently been taking Manjouro/Ozempic which is also a new, novel treatment for weight loss - but there are numerous studies coming out indicating it can cause positive behavioral changes in gambling addicts and alcoholics. It could also cause negative behavioral changes too.
Many significant historical figures have been known to be daytime alcoholics and drug abusers so him dabbling in Ketamine and whatever else just to fuck around isn't really unprecedented either.
The best question to ask in this situation is:
- When did Elon Musk start taking ketamine? Was his behavior pretty much the same before this happened? (I don't know the answer to this)
