A quick check for sponsoring is to be free of bankruptcy AND pay for his living expenses for 3 years. Even in a relatively inexpensive area like Cornwall, Canada, it would be at least $3-5,000 per month. She probably cannot guarantee it with YT, so she would need to find employment. She has no skill and no work experience for at least 10 years. I agree that she will eventually return to Canada for healthcare, but unless she will the lottery, his next stop is Syria.
