Genshin Impact

Snagged The Herta and her LC in 80 pulls, so I'm pleased. Tried her out in DU and she was stupidly fun on a team with Mini Herta, Robin and Aventurine. Lots of beeg numbers.
 
Took me 16 pulls to land The Herta. Maybe I'll start stacking jades for her LC since I'm done with the new R1999 story(side note: don't care what anyone says, White Rum is my favorite 4-star)
 
Before the latest banned I did a 10-pull for funsies and maybe a Fugue eidolon and got an E4 Gepard instead. Rather than play with fire I saved that guarantee for 3.0 and proceeded to get The Herta in the first 10-pull this patch. now I'm torn between going for her LC or snagging one of the units I missed namely Jade or Lingsha. Jade would be a perfect partner for The Herta and Lingsha would mostly just replace Gallagher, who I use a lot but do occasionally have issues with healing throughput in ways that Lingsha would solve. I don't think either unit is really *crucial* though.
 
If you don't have any other limited 5* LC or S5 of the Battle Pass LC (Or Himeko) she loses a lot of damage going to the Herta shop LC or Breakfast.

I will say this series of banners will hurt anyone who is character deprived. Premium damage dealer and the other 3 make for one of her best teams. A lot of people slept on Jade her first go-round, Robin is one of the best universal buffers and Lingsha is a highly overpowered healer/sub-DPS.
 
Currently going through the new world and things are super interesting. I will admit it's giving me God of War 3 vibes but that's not nescesarily a bad thing.

Tribbie is kinda annoying so I'm skipping that bint. But Phainon is pretty cool and so is the time manipulation aspect. I like Cas too.

I'm still on the fence about Aglaea but her design is great. Same with edge lord Mydei. Although his interaction and Phainon is giving me shipping drama earnings.

Also the fucking pink cat rabbit thing is also rather annoying. Why couldn't the summons be the dromas?

Anyway no Herta Prime. But there's so much shit to do that I have plenty to grind. Plus I need to grind the DU too.

My teams, first half - mono Lyney with Zhongli and second half Neuv-Cit-hyperbloom.
New Abyss, it's two waves and way too much health for bosses in two first halves. Then again, it's my fault for not having a normal attack pyro dps for first half.
For first half, chamber 2 you need a cryo applicator (maybe Layla if not Citlali here can help), Suanni in 2nd chamber has higher hydro resist. It's why I didn't pick Navia-Furina team here. Meanwhile, chamber 3 first half is a Cryo Wayob, so higher Cryo resist.
For second half, chamber 1 boss at least doesn't go into ice clones second time. Chamber 2 and 3 are just having enough fast elemental attack to compensate.

At 72 pity so I share your long pull nightmare.
But honestly, as much as I could use Big Herta, I'm super interested in some of the new units too so I may save the guarantee for Robin/Hill.

Might skip Aglaea tho because I want Castorice and Phainon and Mydei instead.

I hope the other summons aren't as annoying as this ugly-ass Sylveon-looking sentient cotton candy ball. I'm sorry, I don't like overly cutesy things.

Why can't our summon look cool? Although maybe we'll get another one with the new updates.

Edit: Actually what exactly is the point of that kinda tedious minigame where the flying jello comes in and snatches your chest or the bugs you're collecting and depending on your answers, you battle the dumb fuck? Maybe I'm part of the impatient population but I found the whole thing super annoying.

Finished all the current content save for some sidequests and treasure hunting. Seeing Mydei leaks, super stoked for him. Loving the emo vibe of Cass as well.

Story wise, anything not focusing on Aglaea or Tribbie was pretty good. Mem was meh but tolerable, Phainon is okay.

I feel like hoyo drank so much of their own "Trailblazer is a meme goblin that eats thrash" koolaid that they think Traiblazer is not allowed to be badass anymore. Not like Batblazer and spearblazer were "super badass" or anything but they were presented as cool and powerful instead of funny.

I really hope every new TB kit doesn't revolve into "Trailblazer acts goofy with a quirky mascot".

Be warned that Mydey main gimmick is going "berserk" and you lose control over him, essentially turning him into auto-battle character while everyone buffs and heals him. Apparently this is awkward for MoC because Mydei will prioritize the boss instead of the trotters.

I wonder if hoyo will remove this gimmick or overbuff him to compensate.

I actively had to take out my headphones during the Mem scenes because I was over the furry cunt going MEEM MEEM MEEEMEEEMEEE. I can't imagine how it sounds in English.

I almost wanna reel in some of my hatred for Abby and Paimon. At least Abby spends most of its time sleeping in your hand and Paimon can actually speak. And finally, I do actually quite like Pom Pom despite being another cutesy mascot thing.

Doing minigames for chests is fine. I find some of them quite fun and the new world has plenty of those but the jello fucker is long-winded, annoying, and utterly pointless.

She is really adorable. Admittingly I was reminded of Ororon when I encountered her because I imagined she'd be an edge queen but she's nothing like that. I wouldn't mind if she was an edge queen either though.

Also, I'm with you on the Mydei train. Surprisingly, I do not feel as hot on Aglaea anymore. And I've always wanted to stay clear of Tribbie. I am awaiting Super Eyepatch dude and cat thot and the pink-haired girl from that promotional artwork,

It is astounding how many dialogue choices have become trash/galactic baseballer memes and makes TB out to be a giant asshole who can't take anything seriously. Kinda like an MCU character. It's a bit too much honestly.

Granted this chapter took a step back from Zoomer talk which was so refreshing, I can't even describe it. I'd rather have TB being a stupid fuck than everyone talking like a tiktokker.

Same. I found Clockie super annoying too but he only really showed up silently whenever you did your ultimate as...idk Hatblazer? Danceblazer? Traildancer? Also it actually worked for Harmony Trailblazer with a cute mascot, especially given the lore. Mem is just Ugh.

Slight nitpick: Why were you only allowed to say "goodbye" to either Firefly or Kafka but not SW or Blade during the memory section?
