TikTok

from what i have read on twitter from disclose (so take it with a grain of salt) TikTok registers your country on sign up, and that's what's being used to block users here.

Tik Tok has been working fine through a network in Nayarit, Mexico. Though I don't use tik tok that much especially because it's a memory hog.
 
I agree that it's a non-issue with VPNs. The trouble is, most people aren't like you and me.

If there's one thing I've learned about people on the internet, it's that most people (aka normies) won't bother with anything more than two clicks away. Convenience is king. This is especially true for Zoomers who love TikTok. TikTok has literally trained them to seek dopamine hits with no effort and develop short attention spans that make ADHD seem normal. They’re not going to bother with VPNs. TikTok might as well have gone bankrupt and disappeared from the internet for all they know.

Agree. Ban all social media actually. Except Kiwifarms. And yeah, Trump should uphold the ban. Not just because it'd be funny and would piss a lot of people off, but because the ban was his idea in the first place. If he doesn't, I would have to question why he'd repeal the very thing he wanted to put in place.

My generation is not so much ignorant as they are stupid (and I mean that in the most dictionary terms possible). We absolutely can operate a web browser, but like you said convenience is king. But when you start to notice things you didn't before or lies, you tend to want to learn more.

They would have to ban 99.99% of the modern internet if they wanted to do that and create their own which is both too time-consuming and costly for most governments. Banning Facebook won't undo the stranglehold American culture has on literally everything else. China is the only nation able to have its sphere because of the Firewall that has been slowly built up for decades. One that is now ironically being penetrated due to the ban by a new wave of Zoomers who will be eventually culled to prevent their rival's slop from fighting with their own rot. As seen by one of the previous posts the Rednote owners are already looking to separate the two populations by making another Tik-Tok.

And let's be real if Europe ever did try to do anything like that they would be reeled back in with a single threat to cut off the free NATO gib-mes letting them have their "Free" healthcare. Confrontation is something they will do everything to avoid.

it was original in 2016-2020 & no one cared. Period
biden agreed with ban only because it was part of congress deal.
main point is biden could of given extention to 20th . (might be wrong i think senators added president block or extention unless they are selling).
