I hope Hardin's discovery into Russell's criminal history digs up the records on a little known piece of Russ lore where he says he "decorated" a girl's room to surprise her for a promposal, but instead of being flattered she called the police and got a restraining order!

This would disprove his original complaint that kiwifarms called Erika "one of his victims" plural when he wasn't convicted yet and only had one restraining order from a hooker before that! He's taken that out of his amended complaint, but it would still be exhibit 101 of Russ lying to the court.

I'm also curious as to the timeline since the school shooting threat happened when he was 18 but in Why I'm Making it Legal for your 18 Year old Daughter to Get in Bed with a Complete Stranger for only 500 Buck, he mentions being a senior in high school at 19.

Was this promposal breaking and entering/vandalism event BEFORE the threat, and the rejection and restraining order was part of what he was crying about in the bathroom before he made the graffiti? I appreciate the conjecture, but going by anything he wrote in that book is gonna lead you down a wrong path. Almost nothing in it ever happened, and everything is whatever sounded cool to him in his head. There was never a prom queen, and if he says he was 19 or whatever at one point it's because he thought that was the best sounding age for it.
We know how he interacted with girls back then too, he made cringy powerpoint videos pretending to just want to be friends. There's no universe in which he went to prom with anyone unless mom and dad assigned him something.

I recognize that this is not a universally accepted position, but I believe that Russell embellishes the truth more often than he invents from whole cloth. Erika, who had shared her struggles with anxiety and depression, told Russell quite firmly to leave her alone after he bombarded her with unwanted romantic attention. From this, Russell creates the narrative of "The mentally ill girl randomly exploded at me after I kindly helped her" -- a gross distortion, but not a fabrication ex nihilo. Many other of Russell's stories seem to bear this distant-cousin relationship to reality. Episodes that are indisputably pure inventions (like the Hispanic hitman who held Russell at gunpoint, or the firebombing attack, detailed in his book) are few. Far more frequently he merely recklessly embroiders the truth.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Russell's claim of "being the date to the prom queen" is also an accretion of fantasy around a grain of reality. Perhaps the prom queen allowed Russell some form of acknowledgment out of pity, which he subsequently inflated to "being the date to the prom queen." Note that Russell doesn't claim that he was the prom king, or that the prom queen was his girlfriend, or that she was in love with him, or anything like that. "Being the date to the prom queen" seems judiciously phrased to inflate Russell's significance. If he were making it all up entirely, I doubt he'd stop at "being the date to the prom queen"; he'd elevate himself much higher.
