That lawsuit is a desperate cash grab and they would have to prove Elon actually owns some or exterts control over the project, which he doesn't. I believe they tried to refile but withdrew once he mentioned Doge again and the price shot up. He isn't an "influencer" or paid KOL (key opinion leader) for Doge - its sufficiently decentralized that he can't really be one and it can't really be classed as a security. It isn't even technically classed as a shitcoin by the modern definition of shitcoins and predates it quite extensively. It's one of the thousands of altcoins that launched ages ago and actually got a sustained following. It's founder left the project fucking ages ago because they hated the predatory nature of the cryptocurrency industry:

I think what you and some others fail to understand is that there are a billion projects out there that are way more viable and interesting than Dogecoin and ones where he could make substantially more money - if he really wanted to "market manipulate" shit he'd just accept an offer to be on the board of some project that is way more legitimate than Dogecoin. The fact he didn't really mention any other project besides Dogecoin isn't really "market manipulation" as some would like to call it but rather a way of talking about cryptocurrency without talking about it seriously and he has (as far as I can tell) repeatedly warned people about investing in cryptocurrency - the reason why he would talk about Dogecoin instead of any other project is because he probably realizes that people will throw money towards any project he mentions and he doesn't want to get involved in the part when they fail. Besides that he has also said (which I agree with, at least at the time he said it) that cryptocurrency is currently too infantile to be a viable replacement for money.

The fact of the matter is that if he really wanted to "manipulate the price" of Dogecoin he would publicly reveal he has substantial holdings in it and also incorporate it into Twitter as a form of payment rails - people (dogecoin holders) have hoped he would do this but the underlying system that Dogecoin runs on cannot handle any sizable number of transactions. It's throughput is really low and it lacks capabilities of many modern blockchains. Doing anything to change that would require the agreement of cabals of miners who have a vested interest to keep their mining hardware profitable.

He'd easily be able to just join with a legitimate project or start his own and instantly get billions of dollars in capital. Him mentioning dogecoin is nothing more than a joke.

Well it is both time sunk and skill that is relevant, PoE is immensely complex and heavily rewards optimized strategies.

Pro Players who are able to reach endgame fast mostly are able to do so by memorizing an insane amount of tiny tricks and adapting quickly to whatever item/crafting result the game throws your way.

But even then you need to grind a lot, this is why they do in two days what average players do in 3 months, 10x faster and 10x time played.

Yeah it's unclear to me why exactly he decided he needed to "publicly participate" by going on SNL as wario and that kind of shit in the first place. He did press conferences for his vehicles that were pretty cringe but earlier than that he seemed to keep a way lower profile and just did a few media interviews every now and then (reminded me of Jeff Bezos).

Every time he does this it's because either:

1. Someone reputable is exposing him for the fraud and bullshit artist he is, and he needs some SEO fodder to bury them.

2. Someone in government isn't giving him the handouts he wants - his companies only exist on the back of government handouts - and he wants to be seen as endearing and quirky to them.
