Culture The Bull Pit - Pitbull News Megathread - aka sperginity speds out agendaposting

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
https://www.cheknews.ca/pit-bull-attack-near-nanaimo-injures-two-children-and-one-woman-450395/

Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

You joke, but it is pretty funny how "fear, anxiety, and stress" is the same acronym.

Interestingly enough, apparently someone did do research on fetal alcohol syndrome in beagles in the '80s? And then years later, some more research was done.
Thank you, had no idea what they meant by FAS when they were using Kennel Syndrome over and over.
So Belle here is a literal red flag as bad as it gets, fantastic.

But nature has a way of healing itself, Belle is probably already hit the ole dusty trail by now.
Look at that face, it won’t be the last thing you see before losing your own face.

156 shares though!
Pit mommies look at this post and think this dog is salvageable, plus it’s horrifically funny they picked this as the cutest picture.
That dog looks like a demon and it’s already half snarling, that’s a mouth made for eating smaller animals and ripping off limbs.

Never see rescues post about other types of dogs, just pit bulls.
It’s like the normal dogs get easily adopted and dogs like Belle here aren’t suited for….any home with living things.

I mean come on, none of these things are red flags.
Belle won’t maul anyone or eat cats she just need extra wuvvv and look at that rainbow collar!
Don’t try to pick up her shit on walks or she gets “mouthy/excited”, jumps up on people, doesn’t do well on a leash, food “motivated”, gets ill mannered with table surfing, was returned by a family already who didn’t want her to eat their 8 pound dog, another family because she “plays too rough with people”, a third family returned, now is “jumpy and mouthy” in general.

Add Belle to your house today!

People will write thousand word essays on social media about how angelic pit bulls are every single day but the cope for the latest mauling in Florida will be that it's the child's fault for daring to pet a loose dog.

Which TBF we need to teach kids not to go out of their way to touch any stray animal (dogs especially) for various reasons but you can't put an onus like that on a child the entire time.

The problem is always the victimized human being, never the dog that's running loose. Nobody ever thinks, "Why is the dog loose?" Society has decided it's OK to let dogs run free for some reason.

Note it’s never a corgi running free. Those things are cute and someone grabs them because they’re friendly and worth something.

The fact that people are comfortable letting their pitbulls roam free is evidence that even their owners know them to be entirely worthless.

If I saw a loose corgi with no collar or microchip it would be mine

I thought it was Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

This is the thread where I've seen shelters and pitmommies claim these things can have autism and ADHD so I just kinda accepted it.

The older I get the more I realize adoption stuff is a scam. Not just because it's full of pitbulls but because most people aren't so retarded they don't know what to do with an otherwise likeable animal other than to surrender it. Most resells/rehomes are done privately. If the animal is "good" than it's easy to find somewhere else for it to go. And as someone else pointed out a cuddly dog like a corgi if found by someone may just be kept rather than taken to a shelter. I no longer feel tugs on my heart strings over animals at risk of euthanasia because it almost always means 1. far too aggressive and dangerous or 2. so unhealthy the medical treatments necessary to keep it going are not an increase in quality of life and therefor would be inhumane to implement.

I hope no one "saves" that dog from being put down. It's better that it isn't.

Bad news guys- fat white woman pit mommy strikes again, Belle is free to maul another day.
And don’t believe your lying eyes, there’s nothing pitbull about Belle!
Purebred Boxer Bulldog mix obviously.

Might look into this dog Tavi she’s talking about because it sounds like an actual menace if multiple people are messaging about it.
And the rescue has a discord group, first time I’ve ever heard of that but maybe this is Pit Mommy’s own cult of personality.
She sounds like a cow tbh with “defend Belle!!”

Funny story I went to a pound to adopt a dog, naively expecting something cute like a golden doodle or a sheepdog, It was all pitbulls so I just adopted a cat that I treat and walk like a dog.

Shelter CATS aren’t a scam. Lots of great kitties out there in shelters. But unfortunately good dogs aren’t free/cheap anymore.

Congrats on your pet ❤️

My transpieces dog

but back on topic, now that pet shops are banned in some states, breeders are hard to come by thus expensive and the shelters are 99 percent pitbulls do you think we’ll see a decrease in dog ownership?
Your cat is super cute. Yay for kitty adoptions!

No, I suspect we'll see more pit owners getting mauled because ~adopt don't shop~ has been so successful that more people who would never normally adopt a pit will do so because that's all their is.

Hmm, I give it five eight months before it's back in a shelter.

Assuming it beats those odds though, a year to a year and a half before it mauls the twat that saved it's worthless hide.

That was my experience with my local shelter. I'd check the website and they would have one dog that wasn't a pitbull, and when I'd race to the shelter, the dog already had an owner claiming it. I didn't get a cat though (I already had one). I went an hour east of my town to a shelter that took dogs from all over the country and went home with a beautiful Rottweiler-Shepherd mix, only 8 months old.
