The sad thing is, he thinks he’s going to be saving America money by firing government employees — but the vast majority of public servants are paid VERY LOW compared to the private sector. The benefits aren’t great. They’re pathetic, even. A government employee with 10-15 years experience is likely making $65k in most markets. Very few make six figures. The people who really care about America and making it a better place are the ones who are going to be affected.
There is government waste everywhere, but it’s not being wasted on the salaries of 90% of government employees.
You’d be surprised. HB1 has always been deeply unpopular in secret. People just finally feel that they can shit on it in public.
Current internet times (ie saying anything can get you fired or cancelled) mean a lot of classic liberals (not zoomer SJW keyboard liberals) keep their opinions limited to their IRL interactions. Tranny shit, for example, is tolerated less and less among older millennial liberals. I’m glad.
It really is a damn shame what happened to her. Look, she’s always been a little batty and a little weird — but if you were involved in music around the time she started getting traction, what she was doing was actually pretty interesting. Visions is still a phenomenal album; it was pretty groundbreaking and it definitely contributed to an overall vibe shift away from the last dying breaths of EDM bullshit influencing the mainstream.
She used to be cute in a weird girl way, and her old nose suited her. Instagram Whore Face is ruining modern women and, from the younger men I talk to about it, the vast majority do not find it attractive. I hope the pendulum is shifting. Make looking unique the norm again.
The rich of America do not want the American middle class to have the life we were all primed to inherit from our families. They don’t want us to have children. They fight vehemently against any policy that would encourage Americans in their early 40s and 30s to have kids. We aren’t having kids because it is financially impossible to do so in a first world country that is the ONLY first world country to not have mandated parental leave. Wages are stagnant. Employers do everything the can to avoid paying living wages. Teachers, a formerly respectable middle class job that is extremely important to the future of a country, barely crack $50k in most places.
It’s disgusting, and if it doesn’t make you seethe, you’re too charmed by the Big Wizard of Oz face and not looking at the man behind the curtain.
