I believe the Supreme Court kinda said that back in the day. Someone was given a pardon by either FDR or Wilson and they rejected it because they were innocent and didn’t want to give up their 5th amendment right. There’s kind of an assumption since then.

It looks awful though. Here it’s a tacit confirmation of a lot of lot of bullshit. I know some of the people I @ disagree with me on Trump not immediately pardoning the J6ers, but I think it was more because the loyal Conservacucks around Trump fear turning it into a Get-out-of-Jail-Free Card. Once you normalize pardoning your own side then you’ll get vigilante killings (based and a return to tradition).

It's implication of guilt in public opinion, not in the court.
