Today is a new day for a New America. I hope and pray that Trump fulfills his mandate and doesn't bend over backwards to the tech-bro 'nu-elites'. I hope and believe that he will do right by the American people, who have been shit on for decades. Call me a optimist or a gulible retard, I choose to be positive about the future because I have been negative about it for too long.

This does feel radically different and significantly more optimistic than 2016. Partly because back then Trump didn't have a billion ideas to implement immediately, whereas he's been able to stew for 4 years and come up with radical plans to change the face of the US.

If they work, this nigger might have created something that goes down in history as significant as The New Deal.
He also doesn't have fucking Paul Ryan as Speaker and as many RINO senators with more potentially on the way out.

Developing story about a Vermont border patrol agent being shot to death by an illegal immigrant was deleted for not having a link, despite having a link.
A Border Patrol agent in northern Vermont was fatally shot in the neck by what is reported to be an illegal immigrant, just after President Donald Trump was being sworn in hundreds of miles away in Washington on a promise to deem the border crisis a "national emergency" on his first day in office.

NewsNation's Ali Bradley reported Monday that the border agent was shot while conducting a traffic stop. The shooter, whom Bradley referred to as a "visa overstay," was also reportedly killed.

Newsweek reached out to Customs and Border Patrol via email for more information but did not immediately receive a response.

The shooting comes as much of the nation was watching Trump's presidential inauguration in Washington D.C.

During his inaugural address, Trump promised to first and foremost tackle illegal immigration. He said he would declare a national emergency at the southern border on Monday, immediately halting all illegal immigration into the U.S. and starting the return process for millions of migrants to be sent back to their countries of origin. Crossings along the southern border have fallen dramatically in recent weeks, according to CBP data.

Vermont public safety officials have issued a news release announcing that Interstate 91 at mile marker 168 is closed due to "an evolving police incident." That location is near Newport, north of Burlington, near the Canadian border. Vermont officials have not released additional information on the incident.

Bradley said Monday that Border Patrol was anticipating some of the migrants in the Vermont area to escape to Canada as Trump's crackdown on immigration began this week. She also reported that the agent who was killed Monday was recently transferred from Texas to Vermont.

Having been there I gotta say it should've been outside, it really wasn't that cold. But comparing this one to the last one I went to in 17' I couldn't help but laugh to myself how utterly defeated his detractors were this time around. Remember all the hullabaloo and street brawls/riots from 2017's inauguration? The ones where federal asset Richard Spencer got punched by some antifa faggot? Yeah that shit didn't happen this time. The most #resistance these "people" could muster up that I saw was someone writing "fuck Trump" on one of the little plaques they have on the Mall for directions. That was literally it. The crowd in front of the Capitol on 3rd street was full of nothing but true blooded MAGA chuds having a fun time.

Do the executive orders hold the weight to actually change things? Or can they be overturned by others?

I think despite the mainstream screeching, a lot of younger people think back fondly on the Trump days, myself included. The memes were funny and gas/food/housing were much more affordable.

Not to mention, many directly blame Joe Biden for killing a lot of people's college/first job experiences, not to mention mortgage rates.
I work in an automotive factory and before covid hit we were making money hand over fist. We were working absolute maximum overtime and people didn't know what to do with all the cash they were making.
And now after Biden the nicer house I was looking at buying has gone from low 200's to low 300's while we're being laid off a week a month and working minimum hours because nobody is buying our shit.
