So you cannot recall how it was before that "Occupy" movement was derailed by "identity politics", and that "GamerGate" circus? Sometime before 2012 to 2015 -- which can be considered the start of Clown World or Current Year -- it was more centrist (or at least I think it was). Current Year as it is was definitely in when TDS started, in 2016.

Anyway, both extremes are not great for freedoms. While extreme left means just about everything good is "problematic", extreme right can mean almost everything is "sinful" or the like. As a non-extreme example, media could be censored to be too family-friendly in the late 20th century, and censored to be not "problematic" in Current Year now.

But like I said, extreme right is still better than extreme left. Under extreme right, there is no trying to BS one into guilt for existing as straight, white, and/or male.

I'm in my mid-late 20's but I grew up in a deep fundie part of the country. I can confirm that the majority of censorship in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's was done to appease the Religious Right with only a few examples of what could be seen as "woke" censorship today (like the corporate ban on Song of the South)

Before 2008, a lot of the culture was in the control of the "religious right". They acted like the SJW and leftists of today. Banned and censored things they did not like. Conducted massive letter writing campaigns to pressure political issues.

Just remove all the troon and fag shit, bring back based one-liners, loads of violence, good blood and gore effects, and non-manly female characters (maybe some with big tits.)
