I have to wonder how hard Trump would have gone had the assassination attempts didn't happen. There still was the legal fuckery going on so he was inclined to fight back already, but would we see such a strong push from day 1?
I don't think so. I've never had that kind of "millimeters from death" incident but I've come close, and I've had friends who have, and it absolutely changes you.
Whatever faith he had in the system, in the goodness of at least some people on the left, died that day. He was a former president and a presidential candidate. They HAD to have explained to him in autistic detail immediately afterwards that the only reason he lived was complete dumb fucking luck -- a bit of wind, the bullet randomly coming out a bit differently, the rifling spinning slightly differently, and he's dead.. He probably talked to a bunch of EXTREMELY pissed off Secret Service agents in his regular detail who pointed out all the anomalies with the event, up to and including the counter-sniper letting the asshole get some shots off, and the agents going inside instead of watching the roof -- and they could SEE the roof and the asshole from one of the buildings they were in. He probably got an intelligence briefing on just how badly -- or intentionally -- they fucked everything up.
He's also a TV guy. He knew, before any of us realized it, that for some, SOME reason, CNN and the big 4 networks were all covering his speech live when they
never have done that before, using 4k Ultra HD High Speed Cameras. Almost like they were expecting something to happen.
The conclusion is obvious just with the information we have: That was an intentional hit on Trump that failed. And he probably has way more data than we do.
He is the once and future President, and they tried to kill him rather than let the American people vote, after they blatantly stole an election and rigged two others, just to try and stop him and his. They are not just the enemy of Trump, they are the enemy of the American people. Any illusions he had of working with them were permanently destroyed that day. His entire term needs to be like this first week -- a constant barrage of righteous vengeance, tearing down their ivory towers, and "fuck you I'm done pretending you have any good ideas you don't even know what bathroom to use."
He has 2 years until they rig the midterms -- and they absolutely will rig the fucking midterms -- and he loses the ability to get shit done. I hope the next 108 weeks are the same as this one. Just a constant slow motion freakout on the left as they see all their great works torn asunder.
