A lot of Trump's message to multinational companies seems to be that there will be tax cuts, deregulation and potential acceleration of business projects but they need to have factories and facilities in America lest they want to face tariffs. The 47th Presiden also brings up how America is being treated unfairly economically on the international level and that self-sufficiency is a good idea for the United States.

Anybody else having their USPS sent mail absolutely fist fucked on late delivery? I have a package sitting in my nearest distro center since the 4th of this month and my local news stations are now running insider scoops on how the entire state's mail is set to be months behind on expected delivery at this point.
I worked for UPS for a few years and we NEVER got this behind. We would often even run USPS and FedEx shit for those guys to help them stay caught up.

He would also like to lower trade deficits to some degree.

Every country should strive for maximum self sufficiency when it comes to vital aspects of the economy such as food, energy, healthcare. That's not going to work for all countries but it should still be a goal. It's fine to depend on other for orange juice and avocado but in an emergency situation you should ideally be able to provide the basics without any foreign dependencies. Sure you might not be able to get banana's year round but you should have access to bread, meat, milk, eggs and butter no matter what and no matter how long it takes on a national level if at all possible.
