Just kill Zevran when he is introduced and you've cut out the majority of faggotry. I think there's some fruits in the whorehouse you can bone but you gotta go chat with them to do it.

Seconding the Skip the Fade mod. Pretty much a seamless experience to hop out of that pointless faff. If you *really* care about small character insights just watch a video but really nothing ground breaking. Its the worst part in the minds of everyone for a reason.

If you kill Zevran, you're pretty much free of any fagshit. At least on the base game.

Thanks for the advice. I remember killing Zevran because he was an obnoxious traitor back in the day, but I was a lot more tolerant of faggotry back then. Reality has shown that tolerating was an error.

In regards to the story and world building - yes, it holds up very well.

For the gameplay... Meh. It's not awful, but there's not a ton of build variety, most of the skills (IMO) feel redundant, and even as a RTWP game it feels a bit clunky (I'd have to go back and play it, but I remember thinking that BG 1 and 2, and NWN 2 "felt smoother") It's hard to explain.

I always tell people that you'll want to play the game for the story more than the gameplay.

Warhorse is owned by Embracer. Vavra is not the one who answers to the shareholders, Lars Wingefors is. Before being acquired by Embracer, Warhorse worked through investment capital.

Got midway through a playthrough a few years back and it holds up well. The last good game Bioware made and I will stand by that.

There's the gay elf and that lesbian French girl but otherwise I don't recall any sexual politics in the game at all, even man-vs-woman gender shit. I would even say it avoids doing any of the gender "subverting expectations" thats so common now, such as a mighty warrior character being a big muscle-mommy instead of a strong, tall man. Most women characters in the game are actually appropriately feminine in their outlook and mannerisms. The available women companions are: an old lady healer, a sexy goth witch and a bisexual French rogue who was a whore-turned-nun. None of them have to act like men to be strong or compelling as characters.

Gameplay wise its also solid. I think you can even go full isometric on PC which is nice, since its basically the real BG3 mechanically.
