Mexico's entire country relies on the US border being a pressure release valve. When sociopolitical pressures that would push them to vote the Marxists out of power get too bad, they just encourage people to leave to the US instead.

There is exactly 0.000000000000% chance that the Marxists in Mexico ever punish border crossers or wetback caravans for us. This is before we consider the Cartels having de-facto taken over large portions of their country (and not small amounts of ours).

If we want to punish illegals, we have to do it ourselves, and the current demoralization is such that the idea of literally locking up illegals instead of just releasing them out of the country like a naughty naughty mouse caught in the kitchen is literally unthinkable.

America could start putting illegals in federal pound them up the ass prison when caught instead of just deporting them. Imagine if the calculus isn't "they might catch me and I'll have to sneak back in, darnit" but "they might catch me and put me in jail for 10 years."

Am I crazy? Why hasn't this been an option? It feels like it's one of those moments when an option has been artificially removed from the table and I can't tell why.

I imagine the possibility of military units disobeying orders to gun down Trump supporters has to be one of the things that gets examined when considering these things. I've been thinking about the US Military in all of this. Milly's portrait was unceremoniously removed at the Pentagon in the hall where all the portraits of the Joint chiefs were put. Trump also got a rapturous welcome by the NCO corps at the Commander-in-Chiefs ball on inauguration day. They even gave Space Force the dance with the President, which is a huge coded signal since Trump is the President who created that branch of the service and as the most junior branch they certainly don't have the pull to demand it.

I think its Afghanistan. What happened there was a national disgrace and it really pissed off the career Officers and NCO's. The feckless retards in DC under Biden humiliated the military service and the country. They have been seething about it for three years. The Military Brass would never outright say so, but they've let it be known without saying it that they are on team Trump. Which is probably why this political earthquake is going off without much institutional resistance. There is not a lot the swamp can do at this point. Trump has the legal authority to do all this stuff, thanks to their deliberate undermining of the Republics safeguards that concentrated more power in the Executive. Add to that, the men with all the guns are on his side too.

Afghanistan was the beginning, not the end. The last four years have been humiliating. The military literally became gay. The Marines were the only branch to actually hit their recruiting goals, because Marines. The Army, LOL Emma and her bulldyke moms anyone? Imagine serving the last 4 years. You clock in and out every day, and that's how you're treated? I'd say fuck it too.
