Will Nicholas Rekieta take the plea deal offered to him?

Nothing particularly new, but I thought it would be interesting to archive this clip in this thread, containing Rekieta talking about his relationship with his counsel.

Some interesting excerpts:
  • "We lost in court, we can maybe like we could appeal it or whatever after the plea and stuff. I don't know if I'm going to bother with any of that shit because I kind of just want to be done."
  • "I still believe that the warrant is unjust. I think maybe my lawyer didn't do the best job explaining some of the stuff."
  • "I talked to him prior to hiring him [...] I'm like, this is what I want to attack the warrant. And I want to attack that search. And here's how. And I laid out a whole bunch of shit. And when it came down to it, they didn't want to do the work that I said. But we're talking about you're just like two days before the deadline to submit your motion. And I'm like, but we talked about something way different. We talked about something much bigger. And they're like, no, this is a strategy we need to go with."
  • "I would love to win first and then tell you all about all the cocaine I did. Like, I don't care that much about what I did."
What I expressed at the beginning was a desire to defend my rights. I still believe like we lost in court, we can maybe like we could appeal it or whatever after the plea and stuff. I don't know if I'm going to bother with any of that shit because I kind of just want to be done.

I just want to move on and not worry about anything. But I still believe that the warrant is unjust. I think maybe my lawyer didn't do the best job explaining some of the stuff.

And when I talked like when I talked to him prior to hiring him, we talked about things. I'm like, this is what I want to attack the warrant.

And they're like, no, this is a strategy we need to go with.

So you're like, well, this is why I hired you, I guess. So you go with their strategy. It doesn't work. I don't know that my strategy would have worked at all.

I have no idea. But I do believe that there are some unjust things about the warrant. But that's that's now over.

And my desire was to exercise my rights to the maximum. And then people are like, oh, Nick, Nick's trying to avoid accountability or responsibility. Like, no, I want to take all of the accountability responsibility I have for the things that I did.

I just if I could win first, I would love to win first and then tell you all about all the cocaine I did. Like, I don't care that much about what I did. I again, I made decisions that maybe weren't the best and like, they ended up manifesting in some really bad consequences. That's how life goes. But but I don't ultimately mind. I'm not like running away from it. I'm not trying to say there was anybody else. So people took that desire to say, hey, like, look, you want to exercise all your rights, you never know, like who's involved, like government could be involved, some other people could have done something to cause this.

And I'm like, but we talked about something way different. We talked about something much bigger. And they're like, no, this is a strategy we need to go with."
For fuck's sake, Balldo, that's because what you came up with was so absolutely fucking retarded that invoking Chris-chan and blaming the merge would be a better choice.

We lost in court, we can maybe like we could appeal it or whatever after the plea and stuff.
Perhaps an actual lawyer can jump in to parse what this non-practicing "lawyer" was saying there, but I was under the impression that when you plead out that you couldn't appeal it afterwards... I wouldn't know, since I've never been in a situation where I'd NEED to plead guilty in court...
I still believe that the warrant is unjust.
Yeah, you and all the other criminals in the country, Rackets... Boo-hoo, sucks to be you...
I talked to him prior to hiring him [...] I'm like, this is what I want to attack the warrant. And I want to attack that search. And here's how. And I laid out a whole bunch of shit. And when it came down to it, they didn't want to do the work that I said.
If you think you're such hot shit & have that big-dick energy as a lawyer, Nick, then maybe you should've represented yourself! Guess you're too much of a pussy to have done that, eh? Makes you one step along the process of trooning out, what with how massive of a pussy you are... LOL

Theoretically he could try to appeal the plea deal itself by arguing he was too retarded to have made it in the first place, but otherwise no, you generally have to waive your appeal rights as part of the plea deal.

maybe like we could appeal it or whatever after the plea and stuff.
That’s not how that works, nigga. Usually there’s a clause in the plea that doesn’t allow you to appeal it afterwards. Does he not know this?

If he’s ignorant of the terms of his plea, then he definitely shouldn’t be pleading out.

I know the differences in these charges were discussed back in May and June but I thought the going assumption was that it was a clerk error and that Kayla's more severe charge would be brought down to Nick's. It clearly wasn't.

Do we have any more information or even good theories about this issue? It seems rather serious. I wonder if it relates to Nick's black eye? Perhaps it was a physical fight involving one of the kids?

Or is Kayla the one being pinned with the daughter who tested positive? This makes sense to me.

I don't think there is anything complicated about this charge. The state is saying that Kayla should have been the one taking care of the kids but she didn't. They acknowledge that Nick also had a responsibility but I believe they gave him a less harsh charge because he was the breadwinner and the ultimate responsibility was on Kayla.

I don't have much to back this up, but this seems kind of obvious, to me at least.

Appealing after a plea. Yeah that's totally a great idea. Look at this big brain nigga with his Clarence Darrow shit.

Disagree. They're both charged with an equally serious crime, a gross misdemeanor.

Nick:

Endanger Child-Permit Present Sale/Poss Cont Subs-GEndanger Child-Permit Present Sale/Poss Cont Subs-G
Statute: 609.378.1(b)(2)
Additional Statute: Endanger Child-Permit Present Sale/Poss Cont Subs-G (609.378.1(b)(2))
Level of Charge: Gross Misdemeanor
Offense Date: May 23 2024 05/23/2024

Kayla:

Neglect or Endangerment of a Child/NeglectNeglect or Endangerment of a Child/Neglect
Statute: 609.378.1(a)
Additional Statute: Neglect Child-Knowingly Permit Physical/Sex Abuse (609.378.1(a)(2))
Level of Charge: Gross Misdemeanor
Offense Date: May 23 2024 05/23/2024

The word "sex" in there makes it look more serious but that's meaningless. It's just the name of the statute and she isn't charged with anything like that.

At least from appearances, Nick is charged with actually possessing controlled substances with children present, and Kayla is charged with allowing it.

The degree of legal culpability is the same. Both parents are equally responsible for their children. Both abjectly failed to live up to their duty, being utter pieces of shit.

This is arguably the most important court case of Nick's life. If he really thought he had the best defense plan, he would have either forced the lawyer to go with it, or just represented himself. He knows he's full of shit so rather than representing himself (even though he's so smart and totally could have had the warrant thrown out guys) he hired a lawyer so he would have someone to blame.

He knows, but he knows the wine moms still reading his shit don't.

Audio or video footage of tomorrow’s pleading will fall during the next episode of MATI, (Nulls stream.) Rekieta is due in court at 11:15am Central, & MATI starts at 12:00pm Eastern, & since 12pm Eastern is 11:00am Central, Rackets plea starts at approximately 15 minutes into MATI tomorrow morning/ afternoon.

Anyone know if it will be a live feed, or if it’ll be recorded & made available after the fact? It’d be pretty cool to watch in real time during MATI, but it’s not often that such bright things align.

Did Null mention if he found someone to fill in as the KiwiNewsMinnesota journo to film?

I assumed that was Kayla "knowing permitting" the 9yo doing lines of Cocaine (which would be physical abuse), but I think the darkest reality is something along the lines of:
Nick was dosing and molesting his "favorite daughter"
and/or April fucked their oldest son
It would make sense for Kayla to get thrown under the bus if the older children were forcibly included in the polycule and she found out (Nick's black eye) after the court case happened. However, given that she hasn't gone scorched earth mama bear about it. Means she was likely somehow complicit in these things and is dumb and easily placated by the Balldo Pope.

I think all of Nick's talking about "the whole story" may actually imply a much darker, deeper narrative that he's trying to legally immunize and distance himself from as much as possible before it's brought to light and that being fair, it may be him catching as much flak as possible because Kayla did do something or did allow something to happen and that she currently has a M.A.D.-style lock on him,

We thought he was tyring to sweeten up April to prevent her from releasing the body-cam footage, but it's more than likely he's getting blackmailed by Kayla/trying to appease her. Now while some may call this wild speculation, keep in mind 99% of everything revolves around Nick, April & Aaron. Kayla Rekeita is a quiet, silent, shadowy character by contrast.

Think back to "the worst day in his life" and Kayla's (alleged?) emotional affair on an MMO. It remains a fat redaction of black marker throughout this thread. Something happened that day that was the catalyst for every event since. Something bad happened.

I think at this point Kayla's basically a catatonic druggie that spends 99% of her time in bed on pills watching star trek

A mama bear can't go ballistic if she's so zonked out she doesn't have an internal monologue anymore

Why are you jumping to that? Even with how fucked Nick is, seems a bit far to say he was molesting his daughter. Dosing her with cocaine in lieu of ADD medication I can buy, but not molesting a 9 year old.

April fucking the son is also a stretch and I've no idea where you're getting that from other than your own fantasies. Stop watching porn.
