I've been thinking more and more that many important historical figures were blessed by the Internet not existing in their day to embarrass them. Nazi Vice Chancellor Rudolf Hess believed in magic and regularly saw mystics for guidance. Canadian PM MacKenzie King consulted numerology and did seances with dead family for wartime and political advice. Luckily, a clown that might otherwise develop legitimate power can be discredited by their own antics being self-amplified online.
