I wonder where anyone got the idea that we're somehow going to war against one of our primary allies.
If this is because of the Greenland acquisition? Or the Canada annexation? Or even both. If we have to be honest, both strategies are meant to primarily promote some form of protection or increase in power within our own region. Greenland is an obvious pick because we would have better control over the Arctic ocean. However, I doubt Trump ACTUALLY wants to make Canada US territory. Most likely case is that he's aiming to control (or have a bigger say in) the northwest passage, one of the more important trade routes besides the canal down south in Mexico. If that's the case then holy shit we are aiming to be on the same level as the Romans and the Mediterranean sea.
