I don't know how anyone ever took nor still takes bernie even a little seriously as a multi-decade do nothing with not a single solitary major achievement under his belt and no actual clout with his own factions. Especially when he's fucked off every single time (allegedly) his handlers have told him to fuck off. And easily got his mic snatched by a proud wahman of color over some unrelated BLM bullshit on stage and he looked completely defeated and deflated and never recovered.
That and "bernie bro" becoming a reddit circle slur as he got blamed for siphoning momentum and votes and never contested that in a meaningful way nor went to bat for his supporters and donators.
You know, the same donators he basically hit with "no refunds" multiple times in a row.
On top of that, the "The millionaires and billionaires" part of his speeches getting weasel worded into just "billionaires" after he became one of the first category.
In the most charitable description and perception of him possible, the only slim hope he had to actually try to have some input on the system
if he really meant it and
believed in it, Then he should have tried to try to get into the trump admin on principle alone, even if he had to hold his nose to do it. As he had every single right to be incensed and feel betrayed at his own "team" knee capping him and sabotaging him and badmouthing his base at every turn to push their own establishment picks.
But he didn't even fight it or fight for them in any way that mattered at the end of the day.
Therefore using the power of
"our fucking brains" and eyes and ears. We can determine one
(or more) of three conclusions about Mr.Sanders.
1) Bernie was always sincere and well-meaning, but a weak man and a weak leader with no follow through. And he would have lost organically and naturally or won the presidency and been a rudderless ineffectual figurehead stymied by his own team and opposition at every turn.
---
2) Bernie started out sincere and well meaning but got bought out and bribed enough to realize he had a sweet gig of having to do nothing, manage nothing, decide nothing and just make lofty speeches and take money without the whole accountability or implementation to worry about. All the perks none of the pressure.
---
3) Bernie was always a democrat patsy and donation funnel and fall guy and he played his part and role to a T and was the illusion of a choice on the ballot the whole time and they had to dangle him as a carrot for the people who couldn't stomach the rest of them to get their campaign funds but had to quickly shelve him before he started to actually siphon votes
No matter how you slice it or how you view it, a complete and total washout.
