Meanwhile, Kayla seems to consistently put herself first while simultaneously following the path of least resistance (being both selfish and pathetic). Nick can ruin her life (and the lives of their children) but as long as Kayla is kept "comfortable" she will stay. Lucky for Nick, Kayla was most comfortable when she was pilled-out and dependent while having sexual/emotional access to other men (all of which Nick had provided).

I woke up this morning wondering if Kayla has been committed, colloquially known as Baker Acted (The Minnesota Commitment and Treatment Act). Her family may have even consented.
