I think he's implying that Egypt could create a Palestinian state in the disputed zone with Sudan. Egypt and Sudan have this funny border dispute where both claim to NOT own the big huge triangley area because claiming it means giving up the much more valuable little area. It depends on which old border you accept as legitimate.

Edit: Vice versa, they want the big area, not the little area. Point is, it's a rare and amusing border dispute of each country insisting THE OTHER COUNTRY owns that land. Hence, the humor in the idea of making it into the Palestinian state.

Around 1900 the British said the border between Egypt and Syria was the 22 parallel. But a different administrative document gave control of Halaib to Sudan. So, both have a claim to the bigger area next to the Red Sea. The little area, Bir Tawil, was administrated by British Egypt, but is south of the 22 parallel.

This creates the situation where neither nation wants Bir Tawil. Or, in meme form:

It actually seems very poignant. The Battle Hymn is a very religious song, and its been ignored quite a bit in modern times in favor of more secular songs like America the Beautiful and so on. The fact that it was chosen for such a premier event is definitely a moment in time. Also I love how the singers literally pushed the congressmen blocking their path to the side as they marched in.

What a poignant moment. I think this is up there with Trump getting shot and that photo of him crossing his arms whilst sitting across the table from angry European politicians with Shinzo by his side.
It's very worth noting that they didn't cuck out in the song - they sang "let us die to make men free" as opposed to "let us live to make men free", which is more commonly heard today.
