Never got Space Camp, but I raised enough Hell to have three Florida summer family vacations (Griswold style, station wagon and everything) re-planned to include Cape Canaveral. '89, 92, '93 were good summers for my wee lad self. For some reason, we stopped going to Florida for Vacations...I always wanted to go to space camp too.

These are things people I actually know have taken up after 40. Join cycling group, running group, walking/hiking group, take up climbing, yoga, rowing/kayaking, adult gymnastics and or dance, adult figure skating, cross fit, weight lifting, joined a sports team, got involved with their kids' teams and made friends with the other adults involved, joined crafting, baking, art or writing groups, started book clubs. I know one or two people who joined D&D/table-top gaming and a few who had no interest in more serious games so started a board game night, where they meet monthly and play a bunch of shorter board or card games.
This is an interesting thought, yeah. The left clearly has SOMETHING planned for 2030, although people have disputed that in the thread before. But, the timeline seemed to have been that Clinton was supposed to get in, Obama disrupted that but seemingly was still mostly on board, Clinton was supposed to get in, Trump won instead and not only disrupted the timeline by 4 years but actively undid some of the framework for it, Biden got in and tried to put things back on track but a combination of Theater Kid Admin + Potato Brain screwed that up, and now Trump's going to be in power until 2028 AND is actively hunting their agenda down and ripping it apart.
