And the solution to that is to provoke armed conflict with the premiere military power on the planet? That makes zero sense.
I think they are used to cucking anyone they deal with, including the mexican "govt". Actually the cartel is in control, not the local govt. so they probably think they can just behead a few service members with chinsaws and everyone will just run away.

Why would cartels care enough about immigrants being returned to provoke a war-level international incident with the world's military superpower? That's a suicidal decision over something that seems like it has very little effect on their business.

This sounds like total bullshit meant to rile Americans up.
The cartel are puppets of the intelligence agencies. One end of a human trafficking tunnel all the way to Armenia.

The cartel are puppets of the intelligence agencies.
If the intelligence agencies tell their puppet "hey, do this thing that will get you annihilated in holy hellfire by the most powerful war machine in the history of mankind", what exactly is the incentive to do that thing?

This.
So many people are afraid of the cartels and think they’re a serious threat. They were only a threat because they were left unchecked to utterly rule Mexico. But even with all of their money, they don’t stand a slight chance against the U.S. military, and unlike Iraq, Afghanistan, and even Venezuela, the journey for troops would be so tiny that they’d never get peace.

If I were the cartels, I’d get out of the drug and trafficking business and start trying to make the business “legit” as quick as possible

The real funny thing is that these were the same people who were cheering on the flood of immigrants, until they realized that they weren't there to replace the white people.

And part of making the business "legit" is... firing unprovoked on American military aircraft? Beheading soldiers in the presumption it will make the entire American military run away? What?

Are we just doing some kind of gay army vs cartel fanfiction now?

But I it’s ridiculous to act like Mexican food is some delicacy, it’s popular junk food for a reason they’re pretty cheap. It’s meat on a spit, onions, small tortillas, and limes.
Tacos are the Mexican equivalent of cheeseburgers and hot dog stands. Although the American equivalent of street food is crap. We do cheap food badly, since cheap in America means frozen meat, frozen potatoes, week-old lettuce out of a bag, factory bread, etc. Some fresh, cheap meat on a fresh, cheap tortilla makes people absolutely soyface. Oh my God, they cut up a fresh lemon and squeezed it on the meat instead of squirting on some artificial lemon flavor syrup! The shittiness of low-end American food is an actual problem.

Kash Patel and Tulsi Gabbard are being confirmed as head of FBI and Director of National intelligence on Thursday. John Ratcliffe is already head of the CIA and is cleaning house.

Name one situation where you even needed a nickel or a dime. Quarters are about the biggest still relevant legal tender nowadays.
The US mint and treasury have been wanting to discontinue the penny and dollar bill for decades. the pennies cost too much and since the dollar bill is the #1 used bill it they suffer a high attrition rate due to wear and tear.

remember those bronze/brass dollar coins? these:
Screenshot 2025-01-27 022028.png

they were going to replace the dollar bill 25 years ago until congress passed a bill forcing the treasury to keep making the dollar bill which killed any chance the gold dollar had at adoption. the mint spent millions with private industry to retool every single machine in the entire country to take these.

if i was in charge i would do this:

Eliminate the penny, nickel and replace the quarter with a 20 cent piece.

mint the half dollar for circulation again.

replace the dollar bill with the above and recall all dollar bills in circulation to force adoption of the coins (require all banks to return the bills to the treasury when they receive them) and after 10 years demonetize them.

the 2 dollar bill will now be the smallest paper bill in circulation.

and finally, fire all the sculpters employed at the mint because they are all DEI hires. my fucking god all the new US coinage is so FUCKING UGLY. A coin should be a beautiful sculpture that embodies and represent the ideas of your nation because it is your smallest, most seen ambassador. The USA used to have the prettiest coins in the world because we did not put kings or dead presidents on them:

The American equivalent of street food is fair food and it's glorious. There are a lot of cheap fresh food options you just have to live in areas where the logistics don't drive up prices too much.

Can i note how -little- we are hearing about that? In this case its actually a good sign. No suspicious leaks, no clear CIA ops. Just very quiet gutting.

Look man, all of this is on par with how the cartel had operated for over 20 years, ruling by fear and brute force.
Even if you are skeptical, what do YOU think is going through their head to pick a fight with the states?

And that will make the cartels fire on American planes? I feel like I just stepped into some kind of bizarro world where all my posts are responded to with total non sequiturs.

I don't think they're going to. I think that was a bullshit tweet that some retard made up, as I already very specifically said.

They are kinda dodging around it but the short version. The cartels are used to getting what they want through threats and violence and do not really have any other responses. Any cartel presenting this is hoping the threat of it will make either the U.S> or the country being deported to shy away from actually doing it. Its a warlords version of brinksmanship.

Consider that when El Savador got tired of MS-13 and decided to round them up with the military, the gang just folded.

They eat beans, rice, and a bit of meat, and use torn-up bits of tortilla to pick the food up off their plates, that's the most common Mexican food.
I have a cousin that worked with a food bank and dealt with alot of Mexicans. He told me a lot of then would never used the canned foods like beans and corn. They would buy the dry beans in a bag and use that instead.

Yes, but not everyone is willing to put up the fight like that to get rid of them. Like you said, el Salvador used military, going door to door with guns, and treated them like subhumans to round them up. and they got a ton of shit for "human rights violations" doing it, even if it worked

I think the cartel is a lot like a drunk hobo on a subway threatening people with a knife, most are too worried about getting shanked and so do nothing, even if ultimately dealing with them isn't THAT difficult. Like sure, kicking a hobo to death ISN'T that difficult, but it still risks you getting stabbed, or a ton of people screaming about how you are an awful person for stomping out a homeless man.

-Most- of the Cartels power comes through focused, targeted violence and then the threat to inflict it thereof. Its not any sort of military might but rather the knowledge they will do truly horrific things to you and your family. They then offer your a small boatload of cash and the choice becomes "See me and my family killed after they gangrape us all and use our intestines as ball gags" or "Get paid several hundred thousands USD to let them continue to work"

Its not a hard choice for many. But it also means the Cartels lack real power or support.
