Trump is an oligarch lolololololololol
Illegal immigrants will be replaced by legal immigrants. Musk isn't gonna hire expensive Americans, nor any of his oligarch buddies lolololol please kys too stupid for this world
It took you that long to come up with a response, huh?

lol

lmao

The first version of Bing AI literally passed the Turing test (while having an existentional crisis)
Did it though? Or did it examine enough data to generate a response based on responses other humans wrote that they said would pass the Turing Test? Is the Turing Test even worth anything? It's literally "if a human can't tell the difference, it passes." That's philosophy, ie opinion, and kinda depends on the human, doesn't it?

afaik Turing Test was meant more to be a general idea and not some ISO certification standard within a three millimeter margin of error

Are they though? Are powerful enough CPUs and algorithms that can eat a huge amount of mostly garbage data and do kinda okay at spitting out kinda comprehensible, mostly mediocre prose based on (in theory) the non-garbage data with the garbage data (in theory) filtered out really a "huge technological leap"?

Or is it speedrunning who can spit out the lowest common denominator the fastest? Targeted machine learning algorithms for specific tasks are awkshoolly practically useful. What are LLMs awkshoolly useful for? Running some DnD seshes? Churning out goyslop movie scripts?
The main thing would be finding information quickly, or formatting documents. If I want a will, I can tell an LLM the basics of how I want my estate divided. All the other legal stuff could be filled in by the LLM. LLMs could also help with medical mistakes. Having a computerized set of eyes of all cat-scans, pet-scans, and x-rays would be great, even if it doesn't fully replace doctors. AI even helps people program, especially in rust. This isn't even mentioning the military applications, including drones, missiles, and anti-missile systems.

As far as I'm aware, you can freely download and run all of Deepseek's work on your own machine, as long as you have tens of thousands worth in Nvidia gpus. See, their github. This includes R1, the model that released in the last couple weeks that everyone's hyping. Deepseek does have a website you can make an account on to chat with for free without needing any of the technical knowhow on how to do this yourself, so yeah there's gonna be problems there. This isn't really going to be the same situation as with OpenClosedAI, Deepseeks coming out the gate, putting their best work out for everyone to pick apart and customize. OpenAi is full proprietary, greedy as hell, and it's caused them to get cocky and stagnate. You can only use OpenAIs current work through their servers, on their end. OpenAI's way of doing business is a security nightmare, and relying on them makes anybody that does a liability. Fuck Sam Altman.
Looks like bartowski put out a GGUF of Deepseek-R1, maybe I'll give it a try.

Once I shit myself an Nvidia based GPU with ~500-750 gigs of VRAM, of course. (My $500 model has 12 gigs, and I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon.)

I'm guessing Deepseek only looks impressive cause they literally threw infinite amounts of comp at it. It's probably just as dumb internally as the others.

Deepseak has proven that you don't need nVidia's latest/greatest. Average hardware is producing results 10x-100x faster than anything from the US that's using top-shelf nVidia chips.

People are training Deepseak on their own 4070's right now that blow away OpenAI and Deepseak is free. The person a couple pages ago saying China must be cheating using nVidia chips is wrong. You can download it and train it yourself to see. That's why the market collapsed.

Am I missing something here? You need near as much VRAM as the size of the model, and those R1 models are 500-750 Gigabytes in size. I suspect we'll jump up stupidly rapidly in the near future for consumer hardware -- 16 terabytes of ram, 1-2 terabytes of VRAM, etc -- but we're sure as snot not there yet...

Nvidia is tanking.
Nothing on the stock market is real though.

It is just a bigger version of your grocery store where everything comes from the same place but gets a different label and price so you cannot possibly know the real value of anything.

Fake number tanks today. Whatever.
Fake number rebounds on Thursday. Whatever.

Because companies built on venture capital and invetment bubbles are just machines meant to turn other people's money into payroll for the owners and their butt buddies.
This shit has been happening for centuries, with regularity and supposedly smart people always fall for it.
You reminded me how Ross Perot was one of the major investors for Steve Jobs’s Next Computers and lamented at one point that it was a giant mistake because Next only made niche workstation PC that only a few turbonerds in the 90s used. I have no idea if he sold his shares but if he did it was a huge mistake since Apple acquired Next and everyone knows what happened after.

I don’t feel bad for Venture Capitalists. Pretty sure it’s a passion of the rich because if they lose money it doesn’t matter as it becomes a tax write off.

Donald Trump has been the leader of the United States for the past 8 years.
It hasn't been Biden for the past 4 years. Even though he may have been the formal President, Donald Trump has been the real power broker. It is worse than mind control. Donald Trump can speak directly into the hearts and minds of the American people, especially the violent radicalized subset of militia men and gun owners. Donald Trump controls the GOP and has it under his iron fist. He controls the Supreme Court, he controls numerous State Governments. Donald Trump had more power over the United States while he was being prosecuted than Biden had in his entire career.
This is what fascism looks like, this is American Caesarism.
I wish he was anywhere near the dictator you think he is.

Deepseek's impressive comparatively, for how much cheaper and faster it was put together while still outperforming the big boys. And the fact they open sourced it on top of that. Anybody hyping it up as massively more intelligent is a midwit.

I keep seing comments whining about people getting light sentences for murder while poor pitiful druggies get sentenced to like 40 years for just a dime bag of coke. Something tells me that's not actually true and is just cope repeated ad nauseum by stoners. My "lived experience" tells me druggies are constantly given slaps on the wrist and LE tries really hard not to throw them in prison.

And I guess people conveniently like to forget druggies also have getting arrested for domestic violence, theft, traffic violations, child neglect, etc. unrelated to drugs as common hobbies.
That's kinda how it goes. Nobody gives an absolute fuck about petty dealers but authorities like to keep tabs on them because it's easier to wait until someone dies of an overdose before charging the dealer with for a higher crime than simply dealing. It works out great for everyone, the scum of the earth can keep doing their degenerate shit and when a bad batch is inevitably distributed then it takes out dozens of them in one fell swoop AND the dealer.

And all the dealers you see with 40 year prison sentences? 90% of them are people who were still on probation having been released early so dealing naturally sees them resume their sentence. If you're on probation you should be fucking grateful you're outside of a prison wall and shouldn't be acting like a stupid nigger and dealing when it's incredibly obvious who is getting what from who.

The other 10% of dealers in prison are the retarded Breaking Bad types who, while 'dealing', their actual key crime is beating someone to death for drug debts or ordering someone killed.

Progressives and soys trying to convince me on immigration with price raising arguments greatly underestimate my bigotry.

I would happily pay $10 for a cup of black coffee if it meant I didn't have to see hordes of dysgenic fat 75 IQ brown untersmenchen on every street corner.
The conservatives I know try to eat less goyslop. It's ironically the liberals that like to pose next to Starbucks cups/whatever the new trendy food item is.

What are the odds the cartel are going to start raising hell in Sanctuary Cities? The most migrant infested places with the most castrated police forces. The cartel's operating strategy is to infiltrate areas and then use fear to rule. This doesn't work as well in the US as most areas are full of armed citizens and police. Sanctuary cities are allowing migrants in droves and usually have the most strict gun laws. I see the cartel trying things out of desperation if the shooting starts and they start getting rounded up.

Something to be concerned about if you are in a Sanctuary City. Better safe than sorry. Trump would surely send troops as fast as possible, but the wait before they arrive can be life or death. I'm considering skipping town for a bit if things get rough, as we have a shit ton of illegals here and no doubt a cartel presence.

Those are the more targeted things I alluded to. And in the end I wouldn't trust an LLM to spit out a will conforming to all my particulars, I'd still have a human lawyer check it. At the end of the day, modern "AI" basically function as expensive calculators, but the topics are usually less precise than mathematics, so they don't even have the accuracy of a TI SR-10 from 1973 across all or even most their applications yet

Using an LLM for math is a great mistake, math, ironically, is it's worst use case. Creative work, general writing is it's strong suit.
