This is probably why Nick started openly talking about how much he loves cocaine out of nowhere

He knew he'd have to admit it in court, so he wanted to get ahead of it

"Yeah, I know I plead guilty to possession of cocaine, I've talked about how much I love cocaine already, it's not a big deal!"
He's Rockzo, Esq., the Rock 'n Roll Lawyer.

You honor I call upon my strongest witnesses, Dick Masterson and Melton, to tell you that actually drugs are badass, and those prudes at the Karen farms are just jealous of my hot blond corner demon

I'll give him credit and say he's doing the honorable thing by claiming responsibility for his coke. He's still a Balldo-wearing degenerate but it's a step in the right direction.
This is a pragmatic decision calculated to get him the best result, and he's taking it because his Frank's hearing silver bullets didn't work to get the case dismissed. If he thought there were any other magic words he could use to get out this, he'd still be spouting them off.

So Nick loses his law license for this, right? IIRC lawyers can't keep on practicing if they commit a felony.
Not necessarily, no.

Most disbarments occur as a result of client-relevant conduct (commingling/ stealing funds, failure to provide adequate representation, etc.). Many jurisdictions use an analysis that either goes to that sort of thing, or to crimes of "moral turpitude" (honesty, roughly).

In MN (and many if not most) jurisdictions, a felony isn't an automatic bar to admission/ reason for disbarment. A drug charge that isn't tightly tied to causing substantial or at least alleged harm to clients does not mean disbarment at all. A notorious addiction that led to severe and/or repeated client harm could, but a standalone felony of this type - particularly where a court determined that circumstances warranted mere probation - unlikely.

At most maybe an admonition (likely private) or suspension to undergo actual rehab (not the bs rehab he did), similar things.

...I suppose it's possible that if it got to an investigation/questioning, his big fat fucking mouth could finally get its just deserts, but probably not.

Eta: I responded to this as though he was actually winding up with a felony conviction. He's not even (likely, unless he screws up probation) getting that. So no^3.

I often wondered what would happen if Rekieta cleaned up his whole act, did the most he could to fix his mistakes, tried to mend broken relationships BUT STILL denied any wrongdoing and past mistakes.

"No Stalkerchild I always claimed Melton was a pedo"

America, where Coke-heads can be Lawyers. Who says this ain't the land of opportunity?
I’d wager a ton of lawyers, if not a sizable chunk of America’s white color 6 figure makers, abuse cocaine. The number of them that LARP as conservative family man lawyers on YouTube? Perhaps a smaller demographic.

If third degree drug possession carries a maximum of 20 years I shudder to think about what first degree merits.

Also, legal kiwis. If, after the plea is finalized, Nick started saying he’s innocent and that all the evidence was planted or some shit, would that cause him further legal issues?

So it wasn't just cocaine was it you rat faced fucker. Not specifically cocaine, but particularly.

Is this just a legal lingo thingy?

If there were other illegal substances found the police report would have mentioned it, right?

Anyway, nice to hear Nick confirm that the coke was indeed his and not Aaron’s or Kayla’s or planted by law enforcement, as he’s been variously hinting at. Thanks for clearing that up Nick, you fucking fiend.

Yes. According to @Potentially Criminal, if the State gets wind of such proclamations from Nick, the plea deal can be thrown out and Wentzell can order a trial on all the charges. Link to show.

It'd still put Rekeita leagues above Tomlinson. That fat faggot with bitch tits has never taken responsibility for anything in his life.
