Found her very easily on TT. While I do believe that cipro can really cause problems, the following sets off my radar:
- she repeatedly mentions hospice (currently claiming “palliative” care with 24/7 support needs)
- she developed the munchie-fav MCAS (which ofc developed *after* taking Cipro)
- Dad set up a GFM which has around 15k funded so far.
- Ironically (and sadly) her husband is also wheelchair-bound, he’s a disabled vet.

Looking forward to seeing more about this one!

The only one I associate with this is Ricard Siagian the YouTube guy who people like to claim died of fatal familial insomnia (unlikely) but one of his theories was that his troubles started after ciprofloxacin which has "sleep disorders" listed as a common side effect in the BNF among a bunch of other shit. Whether I believe this to be true or not is another thing since we only ever got his side of the story. The guy did ultimately die so there is that going against any idea that he was faking but not knowing his medical history or full circumstances means you couldn't really point to the cipro as the culprit either.

Notably the NHS in the UK has advised against prescribing it unless it is a last resort. That would indicate that theres a good bit of long term risk associated with its use. I can definitely see this as a good jumping off point for people who are prone to munch/hypochondria/lifestyle illness who may have been prescribed it in the past to point at and blame for their situation. People likely do get fucked up long term from it but most people fucked up from medical issues don't make it their personality or grift.

Is there a prior social media presence for this guy? Seems like he has a fair number of wranglers from that one post a few pages back, wonder if they'd try to limit his internet posting out of safety concerns or give him more free rein. Be interesting if there's an uptick in activity post-Rose or not.

I still think it's Rose manning his account but that's more based on her prior behavior and general vibes, not anything to really substantiate it.

Unlikely is an understatement. That only runs in 40-50 families worldwide, most in Germany, Italy and the Basque country. It's recessive so only crops up where two of those families breed and the total number of cases in history doesn't reach three figures. It's also identifiable by genetic testing, so if this dude had it he would have been diagnosed.

I'm not aware of any fatal insomnia conditions that aren't genetic, including medication side-effects. Of course many medications cause insomnia and can kill you, so it's plausible someone could take something that gives them insomnia and kills them, but correlation does not imply causation.

It's just as well. FFI is one of the worst ways to die there is. It's one of two conditions, the other being Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (where your muscles slowly turn into bone and you become a living statue), that would cause me to suck-start a shotgun without hesitation as soon as I was diagnosed, fuck going out like that, I'm checking out while I'm still capable of doing so.

Shit like FFI reminds us that despite the many and varied methods of torture and execution that we have developed, nothing can compare to the suffering and cruelty our own bodies are capable of inflicting on us. And these idiots fetishise and appropriate this suffering for Instagram likes, pretending to have illnesses and disabilities whose sufferers would do ANYTHING to get their bodies and lives back. Never forget the context of what these people do.

The difference between munchies and Normal people with chronic/terminal illnesses - normal people will get closure from a diagnosis, munchies will get fucking euphoric over a diagnosis. Shits disgusting.

To add to this, I think chronic health issues are relatively common among the general population, especially here in the US due to the prevalence of obesity (high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, kidney failure, etc.) & environmental pollution (thyroid problems, autoimmune diseases, etc).

For example, like many women, I have thyroid problems. So I take a synthroid pill, the end. Yet there's munchies on TikTok acting like their case of mild hypo (or hyper) thyroidism is a literal death sentence. Or you get the weird af hippie munchies fixed on their thyroid disorder only being treated with Armour thyroid (which, is a practically ancient thyroid medication, rarely covered by insurance, inaccurate by default due to just being desiccated animal thyroid, is easily surpassed by t3/t4 modern thyroid medications & pretty much never prescribed by an endocrinologist, due to the whole "being an ancient medication that's inaccurate in dosages" thing). Or that super Christian lolcow YA author who, I sh!t you not, tried to heal her Hasimoto's Disease with Rose Quartz necklaces The funniest thing is, her Hasimoto's actually stopped flaring on it's own a few weeks after she started (as it often does), and she attributed it to the Rose Quartz

Ok so as much as i want to distance myself from this community i feel like i need to join to try and get things off my chest for say. So yes this is chris roses husband. Im typing this after not hearing anything about her funeral or obiturary for over 2 ish weeks now i have texted her mother a few times and she always replys and to this last reply she has not replied so far which worries me into thinking something bad. Anyway the person that was on here before that was commenting YES WAS SOMEONE I HAD TRUSTED (TRUSTED BEING A NOTHING NOW) she was my mentor / advocate she would go to doctors appointments with me and try and brake down what they are saying to terms i could understand and was there to make sure i got the help i needed with out being blown off for say. I have since contacted the company that she worked for and she is no longer on my case and from my understanding is looking at being fired but im not sure since everytime i call i get the we are investigating it and cant tell anything line i think this is in regards to them hoping i dont sue or some shit which im thinking of but have VERY LITTLE MONEY ON. also so there was a comment on here that i tend to type in 2 completly differnet ways and yes this is true wwhen i type better then normal its me running spell check 50 million times and making sure spelling is correct or its just auto fill (like on my phone ill be typing something and it autofills what i want to say and i just choose that) the other instances like this where my spelling is a little off is me typing at my computer where i dont have that ability for auto dictation or something like that. In high school i used dragon nationally speaking and used that for all my assignments. So my spelling is 50 50 i guess unless i 100% try and then it gets a little better. Also the test score taht was posted here are from high school during senior year i have zero fucking clue why she posted thoses insted of asking me first or at least posting something more new. I have had testing done a hand full of times my last one being i believe 5 years back and i tested with an iq of 72 To help prove its me i have attached a few videos and photos to hopefully dispute any body thinking its not me or its rose.. To the Kiwis whose IQ is above lukewarm, the prevailing theory amongst the people archiving all this is she got kicked out of her HUD Hovel, most likely because the senior living complex she was wasting an apartment in has rules that you must be able to independently care for yourself. She started going to the hospital back-to-back-to-back and claiming she needed 24/7 support and trying to get a bunch of carers in there, which means she was no longer eligible to live there. Her option was to go into a nursing home, most of which can't handle TPN and ventilated patients, so she had to agree to go on "hospice" and have her treatments withdrawn. Since she's not actually sick with anything but cluster B and terminal coomer syndromes and knows she won't die if they withdraw her treatments she either lingers there forever or gets booted back to mom's place when she doesn't die.

Or she's dead. I don't care either way as long as she's not posting porn to an audience of children.

(I also have thought the entire time that the person texting updates was Rose claiming to be her mother, and I'm not the only one.)

Well I have very little experience here but I imagine if you're not trying to milk a hospice story out of it and you have family willing to take you in, you go home.

Tricia Melland will die if treatment is withdrawn. It might be self-induced bullshit but she's colonised by like 8 super resistant yeast and bacteria strains and her bowel constantly belches more out into her bloodstream. Three years ago she started uncontrollably vomiting blood as her stomach walls started to hemorrhage from even the tiniest amount of food or drink. There is no way to fix her. She's at the end of the line with antibiotics and she doesn't qualify for a transplant. Her family used all their money and energy trying to get her into a hospital that would at least remove her bowel to stop the constant infections and they determined there was no way she would survive the surgery. She lives at home hooked up to her machines and her TPN and her constant antibiotic drips.

Hell even Jahi McMath, who was a brain dead corpse being kept warm, was sent home with her mother.
