That makes no sense, he's not a warhawk. He has only de-escelated conflicts. So I don't get where you're getting that impression from. He's a business man, he clearly is more apt to getting his goals done with economic pressure.

I'll say this: I am pleasantly surprised that Donald Trump is ostensibly acting in the interest of the American people. I did not expect it -- just on general principle, because I haven't seen a politician act in the interest of the American people in any meaningful capacity in my entire adult life, possibly my entire lifetime. I am, for the time being, cautiously optimistic.

However, by the same token, if this does turn out to be a facade, I will not at all be surprised. Disappointed, but not surprised.

That said, I will reiterate the position I've already stated here, and have held for my entire life: I am willing to fight a war I believe in. If the US declares war on an enemy that I actually feel enmity towards -- AND pulls all military and financial support from the enthnonationalist theocracy dedicated to an ideology that calls for the enslavement and erasure of my people -- I will happily enlist.
