I never read the book or watched the movie, but I knew who he was. Because the point of wannabe pols writing memoirs isn’t for them to become best sellers with actual readers. It’s to give them a reason to be interviewed and make the rounds. That’s how their profile is raised.
I agree. There is a process to having your "profile raised". Kinda like business startup series rounds. Get donors to help raise profile, to get more donors to help raise profile. There is a greasy pole, and greasy wheels, and greasy palms. Lotta grease seems to be involved.

It takes effort to subvert nature

This is not entirely accurate it does exist in the DSM-5-TR but it also lists prevalence as under 1%. It is not easy to diagnosis someone with this unless you're an unethical gender clinic. It also is not a diagnosis that can be used to get benefits except if you're a unethical gender clinic tagging other diagnosis's on as well.
You will note that I used the word "grift" in my post, which implies the unethical part. The whole damn thing is a big pharma sham to medicalise something that can be resolved naturally and/or with talk therapy, and collect big bucks from new lifetime patients.

Also prevalence has nothing to do with how "real" a DSM disorder is; if it's in there, it's in there. Insurance won't pay out for treatments that aren't "medically necessary", otherwise TPTB would've struck it out so as to "not stigmatise the poor widdle gender specials, or gatekeep our heckin valid poonerinos behind a diagnosis"; since the money is what really matters, it stays in.

Edited for clarity.

I thought there was some kind of “recess appointment” thing he could do to force his picks in. Is it not in the cards anymore, or is he trying it the nice way then the recess thing if they deny RFK and Tulsi, etc?
People appointed in a Congressional Recess are allowed to serve until the next session, and can't be nominated for that position, or appointed, after they've been R.A.ed once.
It's political calculus.

There are plenty of smoking hot Colombian women, and then there are a lot who have a bit too much African going on.

This one is unique in being built like a dive bar bouncer
Guess it depends on how much white genes are in them, because they're either pleasantly feminine or complete goblinas like the president's daughter

The salt from the federal workers over the email that was sent to all of them last night is glorious.

Being close to Washington DC, I know a few federal workers. Some of them (the people I actually like) are laughing their asses off because they're like "if you can't meet these more than reasonable standards, then maybe you aren't an 'essential worker,'" and some of them are losing their minds.

The federal workers who don't agree with actually going back into work have been granted MORE than enough time (and even money) to get their affairs in order, which is infinitely more courtesy than what private sector workers got at the beginning of covid, let me tell you.

Government workers are the most entitled brats on the planet, so it's glorious to be seeing their meltdowns this morning.

Sorry for interrupting the flow, but there doesn't seem to be a particular thread about Rachel Maddow; I saw her on a muted TV last night talking about "RAGE" and the beginnings of a leftist movement pushing back against Trump's policies. Is she basically just a paid political activist, or what?
rage? Like the 2011 id software game or that old stick figure flash game?

"I will make it my personal mission that you lose your seats in the Senate if you vote against the future health of America's children."

"To senators Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Bill Cassidy, Thom Tillis, James Lankford, Cory Booker, John Fetterman, Bernie Sanders, and Catherine Cortez Masto..."

"This is a bipartisan message and it comes directly from me. While Bobby may be willing to play nice, I won't if you vote against him."

"I will personally fund challengers to primary you in your next election, and I will enlist hundreds of thousands to join me."

Nicole Shanahan has a net worth over $1 Billion.
She was RFK Jr's VP running mate.
It's remarkable how this google cofounder's ex housewife is a complete badass. Never would have expected her to become such a strong maga asset when she first showed up after buying her way into the game. Imagine how fast shit would get done if she was California's governor.

Not many (R) voters in that crowd. Some have schemed their whole life to get into the federal service and accumulate seniority by any means necessary and you would have to hold a gun to their head to get them to do their jobs or do them correctly.

Why they wouldn't call GG and package out before they get thrown out is a testament to their attitudes and reality testing. Take the shit and run before you get ROFLstomped by Saint Elon or worse yet someone starts forcing you to do a measurable amount of work every day.

My closest friend is a libtard, and he has a deep distain for Trump. We have a truce about discussing politics, when we get heated we stop talking politics. He spent 4 years being extremely anti-Trump, then 4 Biden years being fairly quiet about politics, but now he keeps throwing out little compliments toward Trump's policies, even being overly optimistic about some of them. It is a really trippy thing to witness. I don't think he's really changed his beliefs, it's like he has stopped being blind to anything good Trump does. We have a big communication problem in America, thanks to the corpo media, maybe that's what's changing.

Not solely white. There’s a lot of variance in indigenous genes, some of it isn’t great, but like, even just in the continental US you see a range from highly Asiatic to essentially Pygmy.

My wife’s grandpa was a marine in Vietnam and the running joke was that if he took off his uniform he could pass for a local.

There’s a good bit of speculation that prior to the Bering land bridge, there were people in this hemisphere similar to Australian Aborigines.

Britain, having been invaded by the Romans, the Saxons, the Danes, and the Normans is also a good example that white doesn’t automatically mean attractive. Half of them look like female Peter Pettigrews
