Theres no way we know more than 20% of what happens in space as it's basically infinite and our ocean is not. The ocean is at 1000+ ATM in its deepest part but, but just like how we don't settle on and only occasionally explore Earths highest peaks, we don't need to settle in Earths lowest deep sea valleys. The atmosphere at the levels we count as deep sea starts at about 50 ATM, and we already go down there quite often. The resources we could get from deep sea exploration are valuable enough to find and build better equipment for sea and space exploration.
