Anyone who thinks the game is still historically accurate is a drooling, coping moron. We already have evidence it's not. If you really want to waste 80$ on a game that has no respect for you as a fan of KCD1, be my guest. If you're going to try and defend the game's honor, it's not going to work, otherwise the game lead wouldn't be getting mocked on twitter right now for trying. Veilguard and KCD2 are two sides of the same coin, it shows that both right and left wingers can make cringy shit when they sellout and try to appeal to people who are not the core audience. This last part is the most hilarious to me, since KCD2 was supposed to be this big win over Dragon Age and Avowed, now we have nothing but tears and delusional moving of goalposts. Even Veilguard didn't implode like this, people just kind of laughed at it and moved on, Steam numbers will tell you as much. Same thing with Avowed, people talked about the controversy with the artist crying about white people for a few days, then we went back to forgetting this game exists. KCD2 controversy has been going on for weeks now, and it's not going to go away when the game comes out either.
Tangentially related since KCD2 was supposed to be this big Veilguard woke-killer, but you're right. There is already a thread on the game if someone wants to join the few remaining fanboys this game has give everyone who mocks the second game garbage cans and tophats(as they have no counter arguments for anything regarding this controversy).

If you were ITT before release and bought the game, you would've been a goober regardless of marketing. We saw the leaked early reviewer footage, it makes this trailer actually look decent in comparison.

Yeah I hope this shit trend dies with this decade reaching its mid-point. I've heard people describe that quirky chungus Whedon-esque style of writing endemic of Marvel movies (and every piece of media that apes Marvel movies) as irony poisoned, but I just think it's infantile. Inquisition was a dogshit game but had interesting story and DLC. Veilguard is a dogshit game without any saving graces.
The problem with pre-orders is not that some pub;ishers/studios are "safe". Sure, I mean anything FROM or Kojima is probably going to be a good time but.
Descent broke my heart. One of the coolest sequences in all of Inquisition in the first half only for it to descent (ha) into complete narrative nonsense. And BW did so much with all that world building! We’re definitely one day going to see a titan in some form!
Preorder should be boutique physical purchases only, meaning if you want the artbook you can at least jump your ass down to the mailbox to get it. Slap another 20% upcharge on it and use the excess to pay for a QA period that lasts longer than a week.
I was gonna say "they'll be old enough to remember Battlefield 2042 at least" but then I remembered that it sold so poorly that even the latest entry in one of their historic cash cow franchises was deemed a financial failure. That game was so quickly forgotten it may as well have not even happened.
