Was talking to my dad today about Operation Wetback 2.0 and found out he knows that his gardeners are illegals but won't report them because "they have families and kids here." Boomers, I swear to God.

Also lmao almost 800 pages already.
I'm just wondering, what's gonna happen to the landscaping business? I doubt the bosses will want to increase profit margins...

At least Sam Brown got injured in Afghanistan, the United States had an excuse to be there.

When someone wants to put the USA in a war that doesn't benefit its people in any way, remember men like Tyler Ziegel. Their patriotism, willingness to fight and service is exploited by politicians who get to act all tough and don't have to actually fight themselves.

Here is a photo of a soldier.

1.png

Here is that same soldier after he suffered burns from an explosive device detonating in a combat zone in 2004.

2.png

His left arm was later amputated below the elbow, three fingers of his right hand were lost and, in place of the thumb, a big toe was transplanted. Ziegel became blind in one eye, and his ears, nose, and lips were burnt off. He also had shrapnel in his skull and a hole in the bone above the brow. He lost his tear duct as well.

That's a wedding photo but he and his wife divorced a year after marriage because his wife had an inability to accept his disfigurement.

He tried to be socially active but was unable to work and the VA paid him benefits and even then he had to have a legal dispute with them over monthly compensation because they initially gave him $2,700 instead of the expected $4,000.

His family announced in 2012 he died a day after Christmas from an overdose of morphine and alcohol.

Which is why it boggled my mind that my government agreed to increase corporate tax from 12.5% to 15%. It seemed insignificant at the time because they were so sure a Democrat would be the next POTUS.
Our government deserves it, but our workers don't. Not to get too into PL stuff, but I work for Analog Devices (American semiconductor company) so we could be hit hard by Trump's recall on semiconductors and decreases in corporate taxes.
Take it from a guy in the chemical industry, all the Irish would just be bought out by French, Danish or German firms instead of American if they were forced to move out, WuXi Biologics in Louth would pick up the slack lol. Chemical and pharma jobs I'm talking specifically here idk about tech workers here in Ireland tbh. If I have to see the Healy-Raes fawned over by the press one more time I hope he gets thrown through the Sharia law courts of Kerry he's been eagerly building down there!

Assuming this remains the floor for number of daily apprehensions/deportations for the rest of Trump's term in office. He will have deported 2,657,160 illegal aliens. An improvement of 463,130 illegals over my previous estimate. However, since the change in policy is only a week and a half old, I expect ICE to only be ramping up operations in size. I wouldn't be surprised to see figures as high as 3,000 daily a/ds by mid February given the current increase of a hundred a day. At which point Trump will have deported 4,305,000 plus all previous deportees by the end of his term.
I would also have to assume that in their next budget proposal, a lot of money is going to go towards the border, ICE to get more men involved, and aviation to deport them faster.

Meanwhile, when Boomers take a tour in the Capitol Building.

>left arm amputated below the elbow
>shrapnel in his skull

Sad stuff. But at least he helped to inspire a beloved fictional character that will be memed forever.
Rest in peace, hero.

It's not really speculation. Healthcare has scarcity and surpluses just like any other good.
Surgery is more of a service, but yes it has supply and demand like everything else. This is a much better argument for your point that the previous hypothetical brain surgery.
Should surgeons in Chile be forced to work more hours so that the waiting time isn't 840 days?
No. The problem isn't the working hours of doctors. It is that the incentives to become a surgeon aren't what they should be to meet demand for surgery. In Chile as well as other Latin countries there's wide spread corruption. Which contributes to all problems not just surgeries. The problems in European healthcare didn't start until mass immigration. This chart is from the study you linked. The United states has similar wait times as the Netherlands in regard to "specialists". Note that Canada, Norway, Sweden, The United Kingdom, and France as the longest wait times. They also have had a larger share of immigrants per capita.

I don't really have an opinion one way or the other with public vs private healthcare. But our system is just as broken as other systems.

Sorry man, but I kind of don't want my country to die like the leafs and europe.

I can actually believe the “1 in 4 Californian children is autistic” statement. I don’t believe that many kids are actually autistic, mind you, but I do believe that many are diagnosed with it. There are a lot of overbearing, generally anxious mothers here. It’s VERY trendy to get your kid on a 504 or IEP at school.

People here are very quick to jump into medical interventions for a generally functioning, albeit a little more sensitive or socially awkward, child that could otherwise be left alone. Somehow we have strayed from the understanding that a little boy who loves trains or a little girl who loves animal facts doesn’t require a visit to the pediatric psychologist.
Children that get bullied in school will get taken to psychologists and diagnosed with any sort of behavioral disorder and put on pills for already being victimized- almost like they're just being tipped off by the child's victimhood that they make for easy prey. It's inconvenient for the schools to take a side in a conflict between kids, so they go along with the rise of pharmaceutical and psychotheraputic approaches to take advantage of troubled children that are looking for help in dealing with social problems in their life.
A lot of so-called adults use these diagnoses as an excuse for their shitty behavior too.

I heard recently that an ex friend of mine recently told people that she thinks she's autistic. Yes girl, it was the autism that made you do and say shitty things behind people's backs. lol.

Because of social media creating social contagion, people are misconstruing personality traits with medical diagnoses. It's insane.
When "not trusting people and not wanting to be told what to do" is diagnosed as a "disorder" (Oppositional Defiance Disorder), it gets pretty obvious that a lot of it is purely to control people early and often.

Hey man, I totally get it. As I said, it's my government's fault. I'm happy for Americans and I hope that right-wing energy moves to the EU eventually, both on economics and immigration.

A 'race to the bottom', as the left calls it, on corporate taxes is important for competition. If it were up to me, I'd just abolish corporation tax entirely.
