I wouldnt be surprised if they outright bought TNA within the next 2 years, the problem is if they continue to run TNA branded shows is it just going to be another Developmental Brand ? I don't think it would ever be considered main roster because of the disaster that was WWE's ECW
so if im understanding that possibility correctly you would have multiple layers of farming? performance center>TNA>NXT>WWE? it just sounds dumb and more trouble than its worth

Who they stole from in AEW? Jungle Boy who got edgy after losing to Punk, that Aids victim Adam Cole, a random WWE talent, or any of AEW's women? Tell me on both hands who they stole TV time from and I'll have a sign calling Penta a dimeless faggot on RAW.
tbh "The Lucha Bros" kinda suck
Penta is a great cool heel, and Fenix is a very skilled flippy face, but The Lucha Bros was a convenient way to book a couple of guys coming through the promotion at the same time

Yea, but they had the one chance to split them apart when Penta and PAC decided to win by using hammers. They squandered their chance and now Penta is on top in WWE and Fenix is posting pictures with him in a straight jacket or faking altercations.

Yeah, buying one promotion and then running that promotion while still having your original brand is stupid as shit unless you're going to use it as developmental and acknowledge that it's going to lose money. WWF planned to do that with WCW at first, which was stupid as shit, too. People who watched WCW watched WCW over WWF for a reason so they didn't want to watch WCW with WWF running it.

I'd hope they'd just buy the library and then the contracts, but who knows.

Also, holy fuck did Jordynne Grace's face masculinize.

She looks like she got hit with Joker gas

That would be an interesting proposition. Use TNA as the developmental brand for experienced and indie guys and then use NXT for the NIL Collegiate program and promising rookies with zero experience. Gives the indie guys a little more freedom from the PC's training of the fundamentals as well as the chance to maintain their own indie style. Would defo make the drafts more interesting.

yeah I don't think it would work, I think as soon as someone is doing well enough in the performance center they should be in NXT, have time in NXT and get over then you are on the main roster, the system they have now I think works fine, adding TNA would just complicate matters imo the next Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns doesn't need to go through two hoops to get on TV imo

Taker is one of the few people to have a winning record over hogan funny enough if you count that the survivor series 91 result was overturned and the title vacated he's never lost clean to Hogan in a singles match
Hulk beat him at Tuesday In Texas, not quite "clean" since Paul Bearer and Taker tried to cheat with the urn but it backfired. Hulk also beat Taker in a dark match from that year that was filmed and released on some DVD set a few years ago. I remember seeing it on YouTube.

jesus fucking christ. what a stupid multi-tiered system of doing nothing but the same thing

I think there's a benefit to it, depending on how it goes.

I never liked Vince's approach of trying to control everything and have all the Performance Center stuff all in-house. Yeah, there's some guys like Angle or Lesnar who will hit it right out of the park, but I think having variety and guys being able to learn different shit in different environments is useful.

Some of the best wrestlers came out of the territory days, or the indies, for a more contemporary example. Might help them get experience without being overexposed.

But that depends how much autonomy they get.

Territory days were great for promos. Guys would practice promos while driving to the next show.

I think these days it'd be tough, though. Indies don't really teach most guys how to work right and they sure don't do good promos there. There's exceptions, of course, but I get WWE wanting to do it all in-house

i genuinely miss when jordynne was chubby. give me all the negative reacts you want, but at least she wasn't looking like somebody's lesbian aunt in their 50s
Some girls shouldn't touch the gas, even if it's tempting to help build definition. Look at Zoey Stark. She was in her mid 20's in NXT and is barely into her 30's right now.

Subject of Zoey Stark, Dakota Kai got injured again in her tag match against her. Given she is approaching her 40's, I don't foresee her ever getting another push or contract to be blunt.

I mixed it up survivor series he beat hogan Tuesday in texas was overturned and tbh even if its on a home video I wouldn't count dark matches or house shows

I gave up on 2k24 completely. Controls like shit, creating an entrance is the most tedious its ever been and idk how or why it's as glitchy as it is, and creating a moveset takes ages because of the retarded combo system adding like 25 extra grapples to everyone's moveset. Plus the Community Creations are full of low effort shit or corrupted creations because they rely on stuff from MyFaction that people found a way to get for free lmao.

Went back to 2k19 only to realize all my saved data is gone which means all of my CAWs, arenas, titles, attires etc are gone too. And since the servers have been dead for years I can't get any of that stuff either. Fucking brutal.
Might as well go back to SYM and HCTP at this point.

Fat shaming works.
Sometimes a little too well, but you have to take the good with the bad.

That was the cool thing about OVW when you can go back and see just how really unpolished guys like Cena were in terms of promo.

It used to be a lot easier to find clips and even whole episodes on YouTube but now they are mostly gone.

For shits a giggles, David Flair vs John "the Prototype" Cena.

Like you can't have this kind of stuff nationally televised. All the green talent would be too nervous to try anything.

I wonder if he has a terrible memory, some kind of early dementia, or he just enjoys fucking with people after getting bored of telling the same stories over and over. Like, why on earth would he spin some tall tale about almost being in Metallica? I guess he just likes workin' the marks, brother.
My guess has always been that Hogan’s simply a guy who loves being entertaining/the center of attention, but he’s from the pre-Internet era, where it was a lot easier to get away with embellishing because people had no way to check on-the-spot like we do now. I’m willing to bet some of it is completely impulsive and instinctual; he just launches into stories, not really thinking about how plausible it sounds. Probably helps with cutting promos, too.

It’s a trait I’ve seen IRL a few times with guys his age who have loud personalities (some famous musicians and actors too), it’s just more noticeable to everyone cause he’s the Hulkster.

You could spend a week tracking down every dumb thing he ever claimed. Like for example, the one that triggers me is Hogan claiming he picked pro wrestling despite both the Yankees and the Reds offering to sign him in minor league contracts.

The only reason he ever made this claim up is because Randy Savage, out of high school, signed a minor league contracts with the St Louis Cardinals. He played four seasons in single A. He is literally that petty he has to steal the background of a dead wrestler that he used to work with on a weekly basis.

Like his claim of wrestling 400 times in a year, due to time zone changes between the US and Japan, you can easily just chalk that up to CTE.

For all the good the internet has brought us, one thing i'll mourn is that inquisitive human naivete and wonder that came from not being able to instantly verify information.

There's no more urban legends popping up, no new "myths", everything has an "insider", an "expert", a "leaker".

Being able to access absolutely everything at any time takes away a lot of excitement in life. Anyways, what i'm trying to say is that i appreciate Hogan's persona, and that includes all of his tall tales.

He would have been called out for the baseball thing even if he made that claim back when Verne Gagne was trying to get his idiot son over the Hulkster in the AWA. Before the internet, libraries used to carry sports references with yearly updates. It's always been stupid to make up stories about being a professional athlete.

My perspective is I don't really care about him making up a baseball career story so much as it's clearly, yet another dig at Savage. The dude is already buried, Hulk...you don't need to keep burying him.
