At 16 years old, Jazz Jennings has already starred in her own reality series, penned a book, and walked the runway — and now the transgender teen girl has a doll in her own likeness.

Tonner Doll Company announced on Friday that it will be selling what it believes to be the first transgender doll on the market.

A spokesman for the company said the 18-inch doll, which has a 'genderless' plastic mold typical of most dolls, is being tested for kids aged eight years and older and is expected to retail for $89.99.

The Jazz-inspired doll will make its debut at the New York Toy Fair next week and be available on the company's website and in specialty stores in July.

In comparison, the popular mass-market American Girl dolls, which are all 18-inches and come with a book, sell for $115 on AmericanGirl.com.

Tonner Doll, which is based in Kingston, New York, said Friday that the 'Jazz' doll is being launched as a test for the specialty-retail market and will be sold by 25 to 50 stores. If it's a hit, the company hopes to take it to the mass market.

Do trannies need dolls? I thought they viewed themselves as the other gender and not some in between hormonal monster.

Do FTM trannies actually exist or are they a meme?

Looks like an ordinary fashion doll to me.

This was an easy PR win for the toy company. Mould another fashion doll, recycling the parts from their previous offerings, then declare she's trans. The asspats and plaudits for being "brave" and "progressive" will flow in, as will punters' cash into your bank account.

If I were Mattel, I'd suddenly pull out a Trans Barbie. It would look like any other Barbie only it would have the trans flag colours on her clothing.
