Probably reading to much into it but this is slightly bitchy / some strange shade to throw at hbomberguy. Bearing in mind the small pond he's a medium size fish in and that this an anonymous ask they've chosen to answer its weird theres not even lip service paid to "it was a great/big event i was pleased to take part in" or even "oh that takes me back" . They dont answer the askee's straightfoward question either . Rather he takes the opportunity to remind everyone he was in a relationship in 2019, which fair enough i guess, but that is 6 years ago. Reads like the response of a guy who still expects his exes to come crawling back and is also confident they cyber stalk him . Also , just cos he doesn't come up very much in this thread, i fucking hate hbomberguy.
I think you're probably reading too much into it. A normal person might respond that way, but Choob is too antisocial to even realise it might sound like a dig at Hbomberguy. He probably wouldn't have even bothered answering at all except he takes any excuse to talk publicly about a previous relationship, especially his relationship with Contra (I assume he's referring to Contra, can't remember the exact dates). Possibly he does this as compensation for feeling desperately lonely and unloved, but that's just speculation.

There was another recent Tumblr post:

which again sounded a bit like a clumsy excuse to mention an ex. Seems likely to be a different ex as I can't imagine Contra being proficient in the use of a handgun. But who knows? He does, or did, live in Baltimore after all.

It seems odd that Choob is not invited to this, since he claims to be chummy with quite a few people on this list. Perhaps he falls under 'and more' but surely he'd demand top billing?
I actually thought the same thing. Could just be because he's not American as @AssignedEva pointed out. Could also be that some among the organisers/participants are friends of Contra and thus don't like Choob. Or they just don't like him because he's unlikeable.

I did check out the page to see if there was more info but instead saw this delightful series of chat messages:
Good find. Probably bullshit, but funny nonetheless.

Huh, fair play to Ollie, he did score a bit of a W if he's managed to catch JPMP out for withdrawing care without consulting with their ICB or requesting additional funds.

>Transition is a bit like pregnancy
Wow, lol, lmao even. He actually wrote this sentence and thought he'd made an insightful point. Only a pretentious troon lunatic like Choob could've come up with the idea that pregnancy, a natural and actually amazing process during which the woman's body works 24/7 for nine months to create new human life, is the same thing as pumping your body full of synthetic horse piss hormones and mutilating yourself for thousands of dollars.

Oof, so he wasn't asked. I don't know what's funnier; if he was deliberately excluded or if they genuinely didn't even think of him (I suspect finding that out is his motivation for asking publicly, too)

Wow, that's rough. Like the bullied kid at school who didn't get invited to the birthday party. Begging to be included in a public post, not even a DM - not a good look.

Also note the complete shift in tone when he's talking to someone who he wants something from compared to when he talks to his fans on Tumblr. He's the type who always kisses the asses of those above him and shits on the ones below him.

Possibly, but we don't know for sure yet if this was a result of his letter-writing campaign or even if this is an accurate portrayal of what happened.

Ollie would probably argue that in some ways the US has it better for trans people - a lot of the US has got more access to affirming healthcare through things like Medicaid, and barring vanishingly few exceptions trans women were already housed in men's prisons here.
Except for California and New Jersey where several women were raped and forcibly impregnated and now lawsuits are pending against the states culpable.

Stuff like the Congressional bathroom bill might make some Kiwifarmers clap with glee, but it's exactly the kind of thing that does actually turn public opinion in favor of trans people
Oh shut up.

Olly has teased a couple of shots from the filming of his Nietzsche/Trump episodes.
I hate that stupid pornified half-open mouth thing he does. Olly, you’re giving the implication you’re a mouth breather. Which, frankly, I think he is, but why does he think that?

Anyway, I’m seeing Hitler, Goebbels, Freud, Trump, Naomi Wolf, Jordan Peterson, and Borgia-inspired white-boy Jesus. Is this a middle school classroom?

Also Mermaids was obviously found to have serious mismangement issues and accidentally revealed the personal details of a bunch of children, so possibly as Ollie's trying to make it as a "serious actress", he might be genuinely trying to distance himself a bit.
People knew about the sketchiness of Mermaids even before that stream, which is why everyone involved with it and everyone who clapped like seals about it should be ashamed. Utterly ashamed. But sadly that day has not yet come and may never occur, despite how much it’s warranted.

The obvious question I have about the rejection of the “born this way” attitude is… could conversion therapy actually work, then? You can’t both claim that not everyone is born that way while also claiming that specific efforts to alter it are by default impossible.

Yeah, making people move away from the idea that it's something trannies are born as isn't going to go well for them. These guys want to have both the absolute freedom to define themselves, while also having everyone else unconditionally treat them like that. Very convenient for them. But if all transexualism is is that you just feel like being the other sex, why should we ever let you take resources away from public health care to transition? If there is no actual innate condition, why should we let you into the changing rooms you want to go into? And yes, if you weren't born this way, a shrink should probably be the cure instead of chopping off body parts.

I guess publicly making a show of being up for it worked. Which means they didn't exclude him but legitimately didn't consider him, although Ollie may already have crafted a narrative of "they thought I was too much of a bigshot to approach me, but I'm such a great person I'll do things for charity".

It's sort of the end result of queer theory. Sex is a messy blurry social fiction about a variety of bimodally distributed traits and doesn't really exist, the only real thing is gender identity. Someone who defines as a woman is a woman. If a woman went to the doctor's with extremely high testosterone levels, the doctor would treat her, and this should be the case if it's because she has PCOS or because she was assigned male at birth and her puberty caused her body to develop in a way that is incongruent with her gender.

If you help the woman with PCOS deal with unwanted hair growth, anti-androgen pills, estrogen and progesterone, gonad surgery and potentially even genital surgery to address cliteromegally - then you are providing gender affirming care. Therefore you should provide gender affirming care to all women. If you treat the cis woman for PCOS, but require some additional diagnosis for the trans woman, then this is the state enacting violence against a vulnerable minority of women in order to control their bodies.

There's also a broader point that we let women and girls have access to hormonal contraception and abortion. You are not doing this because you've assessed that they are in a state of dire distress about potentially becoming pregnant or being pregnant, you are doing this because women have a right to control the physiology of their own bodies - even if they may later regret aborting that specific baby, you're not going to force them to take it to term, because they don't want to be pregnant and that's a good enough reason to help them stop being pregnant. So likewise if they don't want to have a dick, that's a good enough reason to give them vaginoplasty, even if they might later regret it.

This is obviously insane logic (and I cannot stress this enough, doesn't even really work in the context of the NHS and various healthcare related UK laws). I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to unpick everything that's wrong. But this is genuinely what Ollie is trying to communicate, and why he makes jokes about being a biological woman "because I'm a woman and I'm biological, not a robot!". It boils down to "I'm a woman because I say I am" as the fundamental premise for the entire argument. If you try and get into the weeds about being biologically male, he'll start arguing that sex is multifaceted and right now his endocrinological sex is female because of the hormones he takes and if you tried to treat him like a cis man you'd run into some issues for not adjusting to his endocrinological sex (or whatever). It's the sort of sophistry that's very persuasive in academic circles and heavily-HR-moderated circles, but rarely works to convince the public in any context where they can blurt out "that's a fucking stupid argument".

Yes, they really want to tie everything together in their Blank Slate ideas. But convincing people that gays were born that way was important for gays being accepted, and it's the same for trannies. Trying to reverse this understanding in the general populace won't help them get free access to hormones and girls' changing rooms, be able to beat up women in the Olympic boxing ring, and freely rage out when people won't call you ma'am.

Judging from people's responses to his post, he means characters from his PT videos, such as "The Arsonist" or the nun in fetish gear, or Belle from Dracula's Ex.
I adore the idea of Olly running up to greet someone he thinks is a fan cosplaying as his characters but it turns out it's just another tranny wearing fetish gear in public because they're all pervert weirdos.

why he makes jokes about being a biological woman "because I'm a woman and I'm biological, not a robot!".
This is honestly one of my favourite things that he says, because it's so silly. Clearly the word 'biological' modifies the word 'woman', but he's separating the two concepts entirely.

A criminal lawyer is not a lawyer who commits crimes - he's a lawyer who specialises in criminal cases.

A wetsuit is not a suit which has got wet - it's a garment specially designed for diving, etc.

A biological woman is not a woman who also happens to be a living organism - she's a woman who is female, rather than a male who has transitioned.

It's not like he isn't aware of this, he's just being deliberately obtuse.

Of course I actually agree with him that the term 'biological woman' is stupid, but for different reasons than he does. This is the problem with using language which panders to troons. Once you say "well you are really women of course, just not biological women in the same way as women born with XX chromosomes are women" then sooner or later they'll start saying "if we're real women then the biological part doesn't matter actually, does it?". Give them an inch and they'll take a mile.

This is why I've long said the best move is refusing to engage in their word games. There is literally nothing to be gained from it; even if you can tangle them up into an embarrassing gotcha they'll just cry transphobia and run away.

Hbomberguy's not released a video since his plagiarism one that got James Somerton to DFE and suicide bait - I kind of wonder if that's not damaged his standing and made him a bit controversial. Good to see that soyfuckwad fail. He deserved it. :story:

It never ceases to amaze me that these people that religiously think about hormones and claim to study them almost as much as endocrinologists legit think all you have to do to detransition is transition in the other direction and you are back.

Transitioning and detransitioning socially and legally should be easy, it arguably is if you aren't a twat but the toll on the body and mind hormones do is no joke.

All of these people are gonna be irrelevant in a year and a half after all of the federal government US backed security state money dries up the centre left supporting these people is coming to an end they are basically a massive liability.
At least in the United states they're gonna stop having relevance

It's especially egregious when it comes to kids and puberty blockers, and the claims they are completely reversible. I don't know how stupid you have to be to think a child's body wouldn't continue to develop in all other aspects and subsequently be impacted by the lack of hormones that normally influence growth into adulthood.

It's like saying it doesn't matter if you develop rickets as a kid because you can always catch up on your vitamin D intake once you've turned 21 and decided for sure you want your knees to point in the right direction.
