I genuinely didn't think they would have the funds to do this disaster thing a third time.
I don't really understand where the money is coming from? They have absolutely nothing that should bring in any significant revenue, right?
Do you think they landed any sponsors like the last two times like fansly that would chunk down enough change for a small scale event?
They claimed the event was going to be free to stream this time, we’ll see.
My prediction if someone helps them play this smart for PR and to actually raise money for charity this time: they scale back to six fights, they return to the Amalie or even smaller (not going to sale 10k tickets unless there’s a big name, Jake Paul v a nobody can’t fill a 10k seat stadium for free when he fights bums, literally), no parties unless they’re lowkey, if they block off a hotel for fighters they will only block off a section, not the whole hotel and not let invited creator guests stay for free, the hotel will not be as nice as the Floridian Palace, fighters will only be getting their training paid for, no sharing of PPV points, they will have air tight contracts that include how many times they have to promote, contractual morality clause will be super strict about their behavior and who they associate with irl and online down to names, who can be mentioned, etc. They won’t do an open workout in LA because they had to reimburse all those people’s flights and travel except Froggys because he broke the contract.
I have no idea who the headline fight will be but I’m still not taking Ian off the table because I just don’t think they can find a strong enough headliner and this is his circus. I believe the timer is a countdown to purchase in person tickets and the lineup announcement. Some people think they’re not going to announce a full lineup until later but that’s retarded. No one is going to buy tickets unless the headliner is a big deal. I think they will stick to one charity this time and make sure they have no affiliation with it, like the Alzheimer’s one. No way their friends are getting away with inserting their own funnel charity scams in and Arin Hansons moms horse ranch she disguises as a charity again. Anisa can still cry and pretend to care about her dad and Alzheimer’s while asking people to give themselves head trauma which has proven links to Alzheimer’s. There is also the slim possibility they may even be removing boxing completely and make something stupid like obstacle courses but I doubt it, Anisa’s ego won’t let go of boxing. There probably will be a real boxing coordinator that actually checks in with the fighters and their coaches on progress/mental health. They probably vetted all coaches this year because after Froggy was kicked his trainer made a twitter and was posting black crime statistics and shit. I believe this because Froggy said he didn’t respond to Anisa because she never contacted him before he retweeted Sam and Sam criticized them for just throwing people in and never contacting them. I think they’ll be relying on optional donations and contractually everyone will have to beg their audiences to donate whatever they can. A percentage of merch and in person ticket sales may go to charity.
The only way I can see this doing numbers is if Hasan is headlining but he’s such a puss and he doesn’t want to touch them. He won’t even attend this time, even if Myth returns. I doubt Myth returns considering he publicly donated 15k of his purse in their live stream to avoid negative press. If Hasan shows up, especially to fight, they paid him very well.
Charlie is probably gone. Jacsepticeye, Markiplier, Amouranth. Esfand will probably be back since he commented on the post along with Wade Plemmons and Tony Jeffries since they commentated for free. I doubt they’ll pay for the black guy to do ring announcements because anyone can do that.
Then again, these are things I would do to make it more cost effective. We are talking about two retards. I do think they have an actual PR strategist this time and not just someone’s gen z they/them girlfriend. They will play this as a win, and it would be smart if they do go the optional donations route that show up in real time on the screen like a livestream and then at the end show how much they raised/top donors. If they do allow each creator to choose a charity it will have to be one they have no monetary ties to or control of and they have to sell that shit. Be encouraged to talk about how much this charity means and why and each fighter will be required to speak about their charity after the fight, win or lose.
Edit: looking through the Instagram, they obviously have comment keywords filtered. Can’t say Sam, Hyde, Froggy, fresh, scam but they missed snl because he’s getting @ quite a bit lol.
