Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

They are not sending their best.

Or they are sending their best and that’s probably much sadder/hilarious.

The latest Zack coping video has a few funny momets

He admits he's retarded

He thinks he's the blackman

Zack copes for a while about how nobody really likes the blackman's books and delivering late books is not an issue. Also streaming and advertising your work is bad

Zack comes up with a very stupid idea for a new Jawbreakers comic and then imagines someone telling him how shit it is

His idea for the comic is basically "What if the Punisher was religious and only killed heros who kill"

He admits he's retarded
What level of social isolation do you have to be at for your internal monologue to turn into ChatGPT prompts?

Though Zack having an internal monologue at all is a pretty shocking revelation.

Eric successfully spun off a mildly successful YouTube channel into a much more successful comic book company, something Zack could have done if he was anywhere near as committed and consistent.

I don't know if the "warbond" argument holds up when Eric is actively trying to contract better known and more accomplished talent to produce upcoming books. That signals to me at least he is committed to putting out the best books he can and he's not just making them to "own the chuds".

Even if Eric wasn't a youtuber first, Youtube is the largest social media site there is. If you were wanting to promote a project or product, you'd want some form of content on youtube for it or at least covering it in some way.

P.S. He actually used the term "woke right", he's so cringe god damn it.

Zack is an ape, that's all there is too it. Eric loves Rippahverse, if anyone here remembers he was hyping up Yirah during the release of Isom 1. He loves his universe and dosen't even talk about politics while advertising it.
Zack meanwhile can't get over this war bonds shit and its fucking embarrassing.

Oh yeah and GET ME MY BOOKS FAGGOT!

OF COURSE he'd use a term James Lindsay pulled out of his ass to own the chuds.

Also falling for tech bro spin doesn't make you smart Zack it makes you a retard and a child.

"That's the civil war!"
",it's not the civil war..."
"Don't you know they hate you Black's in the civil war?!"
"It's not the civil war..."
"Yeah well you just don't know the civil war then!"
"It's not set during the civil war"
"I am very smart and you are a dumb nigger"

So, this is EVS on the alt, right? Seems his level of fucking retard

His idea for the comic is basically "What if the Punisher was religious and only killed heros who kill"

All his ideas seem to be just alternate universe fanfiction of established IPs or some retarded, overly simplistic hot take on political situations. It's not surprising that his "comic creation career" went nowhere except down the shitter.

Also "republicomic" Ooooooh edgy there Dough head. You come up with that yourself or did just some pedo help you?

From a normie perspective you just described all mainstream comics released in the past 20 years. I guess the lesson is if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Help me out here why isn't Zack making comic books.

I know he s addicted to YouTube videos but being lazier than a black man is just sad
See there was this mad max movie that came out 9 years too late to capitalize on fury road, most of reviewtube thought it was fine but it bombed. Quartering said it failed because people THOUGHT it was going to be woke. Zack spurged out and decided that it's failure was critical Drinker's fault for some reason and that Zack was THE ULTIMATE DEFENDER OF TRUE ART!!!
That you see is more important than getting MY FUCKING BOOKS OUT ON TIME!!!

Self-publishing isn't easy, especially when CG people are dealing with hard copies. You need to arrange for printing, distribution, mailing on top of doing both the comic creation and the marketing of those comics. Add in the need to create and ship swag that are thrown into fundraising tiers and it's an endeavor that is far, far tougher than it looks on paper.

Let's look at it another way: self-publishing of fiction only took off in a super big way when Amazon introduced Kindle. The Kindle platform managed the "printing" and "distribution" of the digital copies, and they have a subscription program that lets members read all they want like it's a buffet and you get paid when they read your stuff, and all of this on top of you getting to keep most of the royalties as net profit and, if the reader wants a hard copy, they can purchase one from Amazon's print on demand program. This really takes off a huge workload and a lot of headache off the self-publisher/creator, and they have more time to create new titles and market them.

Oh, and Kindle only takes commission from your sales, and a small sum for uploading a title (been a while, but last time I heard it was only a few cents per title). It's basically a free service to use.

At least Eric July is trying to set up his own mini-boutique publishing service to facilitate his own titles and others', although it remains to be seen if he can sustain this long term. However, the other midlife crisis enjoyers of the sad current incarnation of Comicsgate seem determined to stick to the same business model that is killing their ability to create and fulfill orders. Why? Because they are afraid of pirates as if everyone is clamoring to read their stuff?
(This reminds me of another group of man-children men: gamebook authors. Gamebooks are a dead genre, killed by video games, but these man-children insist on making hardcover print copies that cost way too much for casuals and normies, targeting an increasingly dwindling pool of aging boomers that are nostalgic over the gamebooks they read when they were kids. Eventually, many of these man-children accepted the inevitable and moved on to write novels instead on Kindle.)

Eric July appears to be the only one among these indie comic creators to have an ounce of business sense, so yeah, more power to him, and the rest can just drown in their self-inflicted bitterness and failures.

So what your saying is, everyone but Eric is retarded

Part of me hoped Meyer wasn't this stupid, but he has somehow convinced himself Critical Drinker is THE reason the Snow White trailer is getting shit on.
Post from Comics MATTER w_Ya Boi Zack -Snow White.png

This is Critical Drinker's most liked video by way. Which is from 6 years ago and nothing else I found even breaks 150k. Clearly this man is the sole reason people don't like what is looking to be a poor adaptation of Disney's first first full-length animated feature film with decades of history and critical acclaim. Obviously Critical Drinker and his subscribers are the only ones who care...and no one else
