The manufacturing isn't the problem. It could easily be produced in the US. The problem is the material which is imported from places like China, Indonesia and maybe even the DPRK and smuggled into Canadian and Mexican ports due to lax controls.

Regarding Ontario it's actually more like this. You want to cut off Ottawa and Toronto. The rest of it is full of mineral resources, and a good amount are already being exploited and have infrastructure. The "Yes" part also doesn't have many people at all (relatively), almost all of ON's population is in that little fish tail area.

Probably same story with parts of Quebec too, but I'm not as knowledgeable about that.

Honestly, America becoming isolationist is the best way to save the nation. Trump is a businessman and, if he keeps going the way he is, America will be the place to move to, live in and work for. The UK, Europe and ANZAC are being hit from all sides and without the refuge of the baltic states, straight, white, Christians have nowhere else to turn in the Anglosphere.
Trump could brain-drain the west for the good of America and the western peoples.

He seems intent to throw political hand grenades everywhere, anyone that will come after him aiming to undo his actions will have their work cut out for them. There is no use predicting what the results of the 2026 and 2026 elections will be right now but Trump evidently has great ambition and as always wants to shake up the status quo but this time compared to his first term he seems far more energetic about achieving his goals. If he succeeds he will achieve recognition only few other Presidents can match but if he fails he could be vilified for ages to come.
