I believe he took that element from Pinhead (Hellraiser series). I know it's been mentioned in this thread and I'm pretty sure a screencap or something from one of his sites states it explicitly.

I like that in this story Pinhead wants to bring misery to pony world, but Freddy Krueger is just some guy Neo befriends.

The Lion King stuff is way funnier to me than the pony stuff though it's all absolute gold.

He disputes the idea that Scar and Mufasa are brothers, argues the nonexistence of Timon, gets really worked up over being farted on, calls someone a satan worshipper, talks about how he "one time hit somebody for calling Zira evil".
