After 57 hours of bashing my head against countless over-designed systems that frequently clashed against one another, I’d had enough. I simply don’t believe that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a well-designed game. It is the MOST designed game, but not a well-designed one.


Additionally, a lot of drama and discourse has occurred around the series’ representation efforts, or lack thereof. I can’t really speak about the original, but I have to talk about the colossal *yikes* that is some of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II’s character work.

Early in the first act, you come across a Jewish merchant named Mordecai Haim. As well as being a vendor, you can engage him in the same kind of ‘hey, how’s it going? Anything going on in the area?’ small talk as you can with most NPCs. His response to such an inquiry? ‘Pay me’. Jesus Christ.

There’s also a character who is revealed as being gay during the core questline, but adding this element to their characterisation is to fall back on such an agonisingly tired, boring and dated series of tropes that I’d frankly rather they’d just not have even gone there at all"

For anyone who doesn't want to watch his video, he touches on the "Woke Stuff" within the first few minutes.
Worth a Buy Claims:
-The Gay scene is a Kiss you see if you pick the correct dialogue options. (The way he says it makes it seem like you get two chances to see the scene, but it could also require you to pick the correct dialogue options both times.)
-He doesn't say who the character is, just call said character a "Certain Character."
-He says there is also a Male character (Might also be said "Certain Character") who offers to go out drinking with Henry if Henry sees him at a bar/tavern. Henry can refuse by saying "I rather go out drinking with women"
-He says he is 57 hours in and hasn't seen any diversity.

Outside that, he touches on the new crime and punishment system which seems really neat, way more advanced than what was in the previous game. Lockpicking is also supposed to have gotten a overhaul, though it looks exactly the same.

That doesn't sound as bad as people imagined, IF it is indeed just a kiss and there is no sodomy somewhere down the line. I still think adding even just a little bit of faggotry was a completely unnecessary, stupid decision.

In Mack's case 57 hours mean nothing, because he likes to just dick around, doing random shit, that has nothing to do with quests. He could very well be, still stuck in the starting area. He claims no diversity? So, what about that brown merchant he mentioned? Is Musa real?

I need to see reviews from regular players, not Youtuber shills. Even if the controversy turns out to be a nothing burger, the way Vavra and his shill army behaved in the past two weeks is inexcusable, so they won't get any money from me.

I still think if it was Hans we would have seen something, anything regarding it. It took several weeks for a single person to name drop Hans and that's it. I follow a lot of game leak stuff outside KF so my bullshit meter is probably horrifically fucked. Guess we will all know within the next few days.
(Actually, its interesting how outside the initial Musa leaks, nothing else has really come out other than people talking. I feel like that's really rare when it comes to game leaks.)

This probably comes down to different standards for what some consider Diversity. He takes time to point out how white the crowds are in the town he's in. He does says there might be later game areas that have more diversity, but says he hasn't reached those yet.
