Due to recent events I saw it fitting to introduce RubixMalt's ComicsGate PowerHour: Curated Comic Conversations
essentially if the thread has gone an hour without any news from the primary lolcows We could invoke a PowerHour where someone suggests a topic and we all discuss. that way the Aloggers are happy and Individuals who want more comic discussions have an avenue to discuss without treading on the toes of the Aloggers.
the rules are simple if an hour has passed one can invoke a power hour, if there is a development where a cow is concerend but people are still engaging in the PowerHour wait a courtious amount of time before sharing. or dont im not your father, i just think it'd be a semi decent way of everyone getting what the want.

First power hour's a pretty blatant one icl: The absolute series

what are your feelings on it? do you like any of the books so far? I've only read the first two issues of the Batman books and i can safely say I wasted my parents money(they got the books at my request as i thought they'd be good) the plot is nonsensical and full of the general modern nonsense, batman doesn't feel like batman all that jazz. I feel like the strangest thing about the story is that i sort of like the idea that Alfred is a trained spy, Like if it showed up in an otherwise normal batman comic/cartoon/movie, id think nothing much of it other than it being cool

When I heard the concept, it just made me think of when they tried to make Batman: White Knight into like an Ultimate Batman universe. Granted, I only read the first two of those, and I have no desire to read this, haven't bought a comic in years. I don't mind Batman looking like an absolute fucking UNIT, but the bat logo sucks. Not really sure what's supposed to be going on with his gloves/rings on his forearms.

Regarding Alfred as a spy, I feel like they've done similar ideas before, and its a good one, just usually, I think he's specifically in the SAS.

I re-read the Rocketeer the other day, that's one of those comics that I feel like everyone forgot, the film was too early to catch the superhero wave of movies, but it was such a fun, pulpy film.
